I finally picked up the 'lux yesterday. So far it has some of the gear already with some more to come. These are some pics I took last night.

Lmichie...
Nice pics mate. Looks awesome.
Might see you around, I bought a house out at Baulko and moving in at the end of January. Will have to catchup for a beer sometime.
Merry Christmas, Santa was very kind to you this year. :)
Cheers

Cheers Skog,

The cruel part is that the rear bar doesn't come in untill late Jan so I'll have to behave untill then.

Well done mate, looks good, I bet you are happy with it.

I wonder what Santa is going to bring me?

Lift is 3" with OME springs.

Wheels are 16x8 with 265/75 16 BFGs. Took them off the Navara it is replacing.

It's riding high at the back at the moment as the suspension has been set up to have the canopy, rear bar, drawers etc that is still to go on/in.

Very happy :D :D :D

Yeah, they're 265/75 16.

Not sure what the offset is as the wheels were a rush purchase at the last minute due to the one I had purchased and had ready didn't fit over teh front brake caliper.

D4D for ME

I'm hanging to get out to Lithgow but I'm making myself wait untill I get the rear bar on. Untill then I don't have any rear recovery points or drop off panel protection. :(

The side steps are from Macquarie 4x4 in windsor and are chassis mount as shown.

I had to get it all at once so it was part of the vehicle purchase price for the lease. Had all the gear fitted before it was even registered.

Bit of an update. Mounted the UHF above the glovebox on Sunday and played with fitting the DVD/GPS unit in the dash but found that it would leave gaps down either side. I'll have to decide whether to replace the unit with one of DIG options units or similar that fit neatly or make some fill pieces with aux video inputs etc. Also I'd lose the steering wheel controls so I'm leaning towards replacing the unit budget pending.

Also looked at mounting the water tank and drawers and will probablt use rodw's suggestion of nutserts to allow bolting down with neat finish.

In the meantime, I thought I'd post some pics of some of the "goodies"

Mate you should be able to get some special Toyota ears to fill in the sides of your GPS unit. Check with a car radio installer. Toyota have a part number for it but for some reason can't sell the parts.

Here you go, just so you know what you are looking for
Image

See the plastic pieces on each side. That is what you are looking for. They just bolt on to the brackets of any dual DIN head unit to fil the gaps in. They might also come in a Toyota pocket kit as well.
