Luxury,

Great to see you got it done mate.

What have you done to the Intercooler shroud? Trying to work it out.

Glad you blocked off the radiator space. It will be worth it in the end.

Fitting time sound OK on your own, seems to range from 3-5 hours with an offsider with the lower one being with a hoist.

got some dense foam with a heat shield on one side and some thin rubber , glued it to the shroud to keep a better seal between bonnet and intercooler.

rip off or not??

Postby Luxury on Mon, 19 Apr 2010 4:51 +0000

well i fianlly got around to getting the bullbar and sidesteps lifted to suit the bodylift this week . its at tjm at the moment.
except after being quoted 500 from one person the first time. then taking it in for them to look at the job it went to 650.
and get a phone call today while they had it up on the hoist , saying it will be an extra 350 again. so $1000 all up to lift the bullbar and the steps 50mm.
really not happy and am sure they are taking me for a ride.
so anyone looking at getting hteir barwork lifted, maybe do some phone calling and find someone cheaper or even try a differnent option. a very expensive excersise in the end. i just hope it looks good and all works out for me wanting to fit bigger tyres later on.

just my thiughts , needed a bit of a winge session :P

i would have thought $500 was over the top, there time is probly worth $60/hour and matirials wold be less than $10 i wouldnt pay it, just go in there with $500 and some front ask what there hourly rate is and then say it took you 2 full days to lift 3 bits of pipe 50mm

Hey mate, nice rig. I especially like your custom compartment box you made. Any chance you can give out the dimensions?
