Well i have decided to stick with the Lux and not go for the 70 Cruiser......
I have just ordered a 2009 charcoal sr5 lux with sunroof again and this time leather with no hard lid, cause they give me the shit :x . should be ready early next month then the swap over with all the goodies starts, going to take awhile  but looking foward to it :D .
Will put up pics as soon as i take delivery ;)
Oh and this time i have gone for a v6 manual instead of the diesel manual

yes i totally agree that petrol has more power but diesel just lasts so much longer per tank!

But if you want to give your diesel more power, just get a new chip (at least 20% extra performance) and a new exhuast (piss off the muffler and get straight through). Ive done the exhaust on my lux, and for only $120, i can feel a slight increase in power and give a better sound!

i have an exhaust on it already, which includes custom made dump pipe and straight through system, and hasnt made a noticeable increase, it sounds great thats about it and with the chips i cant find 1 that works 100% with the newer diesel as they go into limp mode when they want as i think there is some kind of torque limiter! fuel consumption on the v6 isnt much different compared to the diesel and the torque is the same at 342nm and the life of a diesel is great but im not sold on common rail turbo diesel system, mine has been back twice with injector dramas and at around $1000 each its not something i would like to pay for when the vehicle is out of warranty! but at the end of the day everyone is different and im over the diesel power :) so time for a change

Sounds like its coming along nicely, should be nice when done, can I ask why manual over auto? From my experience the auto masks the slightly doughy bottom end the V6 has. You will definately notice a power difference, the diesels while frugal, I find are boring to drive. If the power differnce isnt enough you could always supercharge it
