I ordered a Lokka months ago when they were on special. Just waiting for a rainy day to install it.
I have a weird chatter/vibration noise when going over corrugations that seems to come from the front right or possibly even somewhere between the centre drive line and front diff. Im not feeling it thru the steering wheel though. Have checked all mounts, bushes, tie rods, accessories etc.
CVs do have a little play - sounds like this might be normal.
I might have to stick the GoPro under the the car in different locations along the drive line to figure it out
Any more plans for the lux?

Just out of interest, where did you get the longer axles from? Were you able to cycle the suspension without the strut to check they dont bind/push the tripod into the diff housing?

I would suspect that any chatter/vibration over corrugations would be more likely to come from the suspension or something that's loose. Having said that I probably didn't drive over any bad corrugations to feel the effects, but I should also mention that the issue was intermittent. I found in some cases if I put the car in 4WD for a while and then back into 2WD, the issue went away. I'm convinced it's caused by the spider gears inside the diff because they are constantly rotating along with the passenger side wheel due to the opposite axle being disconnected. If both axles were rotating simultaneously the crown wheel would be rotating and the spider gears would only rotate when you turn the steering.
While the Lokka eliminated the issue, it almost removes the advantage of having the ADD although having ADD gives you lighter steering with the Lokka installed.
The build is ongoing, I've recently fitted a new rear bar to raise the towbar slightly and still plan to fit a Beaudesert Stainless exhaust system sometime in the future. I think after that I'll be happy with the outcome overall.

Yes the muddies do make a bit of noise but not as much as you would think. Not as much as my old KM2s.
The difference for me is how much safer the AT's are - braking, turning, etc etc the muds handle poorly like any mud tyre. Putting the AT's back on transforms the vehicle (the MT's are 285 70/17 and the ATs are 265 65/17).
