Yeah, it's rock solid.
Has a support leg and guy ropes for when the wind starts to pick up. It's a one person job, and it literally packs up and down in 30 seconds. Best thing with a wife and small kids. Pull over, get the awning out, everyone is under cover and happy.

Im keen to buy a Alucab shadow awning, but its really pricey here in Norway, about 3000 AUD....
So leaning on buying a ARB 2,5m x 2,5m which much cheaper, but not as strong....

They're about half that here!

Seriously, I can't recommend the free standings awning enough!
The older style with legs will only ever be used if you're setting up camp, and even then they're a pain in the @$$.

Went and got the ute remapped today. What a difference! I can actually accelerate up hills now :D :D Peak torque went from 254nm to 422nm (at the wheels with 35's).
Seems to have a lot more down low now, interested to see how that goes off road.

These went in as well to keep an eye on things with the new tune.

422nm at the wheels on 35s is pretty good. Just a tune or turbo as well?

Just a tune. There is also every chance that's not at the whees by the way. I am mildly retarded on that front :D

Not going to bother with +30% injectors and upgrade turbos etc. I drive like a Nana anyway, just wanted to be able to drive up hills on the freeway without dropping to low range :D :D
For the money involved in turbo, injectors, fmic etc I'd rather go down the route of dual transfer cases :twisted: Already hit up Max about what he did to his N70....might take a tax return or 2 to fund it.

Nah, nothing negative about that, bring on the help mate :D
Haven't had it on a long drive yet, or had any load on it. EDS shows my coolant temp is running the same as before (maybe 1-2° lower) and haven't got EGT's over 250. I seriously do Nana it, told the guys what I wanted from the tune, with reliability being the most important. Got recommended a shop that seems to have a good rep and backs their work.

Mate it's bound to be at the wheels unless they took the engine out and as they did a chassis dyno it's definitely at the wheels! ;) When people say "rear wheel torque" that's a given ;) The figures often given in the glossy brochures is almost always at the flywheel because it's a much bigger figure. That's because they tested the average engine on a brake dyno at the factory for all engines produced, but not specifically your individual engine. Hope this helps ;)
Btw, that's probably a bit of exaggeration from the mechanic giving you a calculated figure, deducting the drivetrain loss.
Egt sounds pretty good after a tune, wait until you load it up and drive uphill, they will rise sharply under load.

:lol: :lol: :lol: there's a few people here who didn't get the message but the mods normally sort them out. :? yep the tune would make it much nicer to drive. The temps are probably lower because the engine isn't working as hard for a given throttle position. When you load it up the egt rises because there's more fuel going in. ;)

About the tune, whether you have a manual or automatic you need to monitor the gears as you load up. Don't try to lug the engine at low revs, keep an eye on egt as soon as you load on the throttle they rise quickly. When they do, change down and see how the temps go down but you maintain the speed. That's the tune doing its thing. Don't be tempted to avoid the gear changes, that's when they tend to detonate... High load at low revs! ;)
