Just abit of an update, I don't know if the chip was playing up at the start or what but now that I have the bigger tyres on, all of a sudden it seems to have more power now than it ever has! definitely notice the biggest difference when in the higher gears and yeah going up hills, just seems to hold and push the revs up.
A hill near home where before I could only get to 80ks an hour then couldn't go any faster until it levelled out.
I now get to 100ks and then have to back off caus im at the top of the hill.

Great thats good to hear about the chip, excited for mine now :)

I'll check out the throttle controller thanks for the advice what brand is the one you are using (scratch that can see in the photo)

Also picked up a shackle holder to replace the winch hook, caus im not a fan of the winch rope wrapping underneath the bullbar and rubbing every time the bullbar scrapes.Image

Mate also rolled his ranger and ended up in this gully.

Not all bad news though, he reckons he's going to buy a Hilux with his insurance claim [emoji12]

Tapped a thread into the alloy housing where the top radiator hose goes into the head, toyed with the idea of getting one of those adaptors where you cut the radiator hose but decided this would be a better option.

had to weld in the bung that came with the EGT probe as I only have the stock exhaust with the muffler deleted
Originally tried one of those cold weld packs you can get from autobarn or the like. because I knew the dump pipe would be a bitch to get off.
I don't know if I f*&%ed it up or what but followed the instructions and it fell off after the first drive [emoji1]
So ended up pulling it off and doing it properly

Hey Scott,
I got them both from good old eBay.
Here are the links, I'm very impressed with both!

I’ve been eyeing off pillar pods at 4x4concepts. Not decided how many gauges yet. Looks like a good price on the red arc gauge.

Yeah it's a tough call crit I like the look of more gauges, but I just couldn't think of anything else I wanted there.
Yeah the price is good for the redarc. Just be weary it may be an older model as TOYZ was under the impression that they use an electronic signal for the Boost. Where mine uses a vac line. So it may be an older model they are clearing.
Still does the same job though!

Egt, boost, air temp
Volt, Volt, aux amp
Oil pressure, water temp, fridge temp.
Temlight controller, 3 gauge pod
About $1k all up

Don’t need all this though, have now decided against fridge and second battery for now at least.

What brand gauges are you thinking?

Redarc seem to have the best range, but you’d want to dim them for night driving.

Well finally bought some steel for the rear bar! Unfortunately it's probably going to take me ages to finish as I'm going away for work then when I come back I'm going down south to visit the family for 3 weeks, so no one hold their breath!! ImageImage

Time for bigger tyres now!! [emoji1] Going to go muddies again of coarse, what would you guys recommend? Been looking at the nitto trail grapplers

Lovin' the build, mate.

On tyres, i run Black Lion Voracio MTs on mine 33x12.5r15. Also ran Comforser 3000 MTs. I stick to the cheaper tyres cause i can't justify getting a puncture i a $300 muddy, I've had no drama off the blacktop with either tyres, have kept me up with the boys running Coopers and Maxxis and they are real quiet on road.

Keep up the good work.

I can't stand the look of mis matched switches (being an electrician) And 3 was just not going to cut it
So I opted for the 6 switch panel and the more OEM look push button switches
Also have a dual volt meter in there to keep an eye on the batteries in the engine bay. And a dual USB port for charging the GoPro and missus phone.

I originally started out with blue switches but found these ridiculously bright at night so I tried green, these also seem to go with all the other dash lights which are predominately green too

The symbol lights up when the switch is on.

Love the build mate, just wondering where did you get the switch panel and switches from?

I’ve just ordered one of these panels from eBay for $65. Probably a bit steep. Good to know about switch colour, I was planning on going with blue too (newpro-tech) but you’ve talked me into green. I like night driving but hate glare in the cab.

Hey Solman, thanks mate!
Like crit said, off eBay for $65
Here's the link from the one I got.

https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-Toyot ... SwFe5X070b

Also noticed they have a black one on eBay a little cheaper, may suit abit better as the grey of mine isn't the exact match to the dash. You can hardly notice though.

And I got the switches from newpro tech, here's the link for them. They are abit more pricey than the eBay ones but are much better quality, the eBay ones are pretty shitty in person.
