2005 forge alloy bullbar sr5

I own a 2011 hilux sr5 and recently purchased a forge alloy bulbar which came off a 2005 hilux sr5 (same shape). i attempted to install it today however couldn't not manage to get it to fit correctly. It is currently still on the car however at this stage nothing really fits 100% such as the mud flaps and all the plastics in the wheel arch. Can anybody tell me if there is anything i can do to make it fit such as new mounting brackets or is it just the wrong bullbar for a 2011 model. Thanks
