Show us your dual batteries

Postby Miss_Gytr on Tue, 02 May 2017 5:14 +0000

Post a pic of your engine bays with dual batteries. Just bought a 2012 SR5 V6 Hilux and after ideas on making the wiring nice and tidy. Will be running a BCDC1225 Redarc Charger and SBI12 Redarc vsr. My old hilux has a very overcrowded battery and would like to see what people have done to make them tidy.
Was going to run a genuine accessory fuse kit off the new hilux but want to see what other people have done first.
Thanks!

My redarc 1240bcdc is behind the glove box. Seems to work a treat. Have a 105 agm under hood. Max size i think.

Pretty sure you only need the BCDC - that will take care of all your isolating needs.

Was getting the isolator so i can use the jumpstart button in the car. Looked up redarc wiring diagrams and seemed to need the isolator as well

I wouldn't bother getting a genuine fuse holder from toyota. They no good for anything over about 10amps I reckon. Had to fix a couple of them now from being burnt out.
