About to start personalising my hilux a bit. I work out of it every day so I will be making it as practical and comfortable as possible.

Plans:
Remove rear seats + replace with drawers and fridge + table
265/70r17 aggressive all terrains
2" lift undecided on what brand
Under body protection - installed
Arb sahara bar - ordered
Winch
Running water
Duel battery
Long range tank
Sliders

So far I have a canopy and roof rack, apart from a few small sr5 additions not to much else has changed.

First trip was from brisbane - thredbo, did some high country driving while we where there. Epic trip.

As of yesterday under body protection has been installed along with a recovery point. Also put on some sr5 rims over the SR's just a looks thing.

My color coded sahara bar will be here on Monday, not sure whether to fit it before buying a winch or just holding off and doing it all at once.

Nice looking work rig mate - love the underbody steel work. With the winch consider if you will actually ever need it - when we sold the brother in laws ute it had a $2000 2 year old winch on it that had never been used. Lots of weight to carry if you never really need it....... Fit a big front mount in there instead!

Also depends on what winch you want, I just fitted a runva 11xp to mine and all I did was remove the grille to drop it in from the top.

So I'm working alone all day and just picked up my bullbar..... Had to tell someone haha I start early again tomorrow but might pull a late night and try and get it on tonight.

I think I am going for a runva aswell, they are on sale at the moment and I've heard enough good things.

From my past experience offroad... I need a winch more for my Dad's sake than mine, I have had to get him to drive deep into forests at all times of the night a few times over the past few years or winch me up a very long steep hill climb at The Springs.... Plus it means I can drag heavy stuff around the worksite >:)

Not finished yet but at least I can drive to work in the morning, didn't want to annoy the neighbours nearly 9 and the next step was to drill haha...

Finished it all off today, I didn't like the lights so I've taken them off for now, I will probably order my winch tonight then it's time for tyres.

Made a loom and wired up the fog lights this morning, still waiting for the switch that will go in the dash but one less thing to do now.

thanks guys, been having fun with it. My other hilux is a 97 and much harder and dirtier to work on haha.

Not 100% yet, It will be something adjustable. It will more than likely be nearly a year before I lift it, I want to have all the mods in before doing that. My other hilux is on 33's with a 4" kit so if I get the urge to go climb some hills I can always jump in it.

Made some more progress today, just going to go over all the bolts I've done in the last few weeks and
Then it will be ready for my upcoming trip.

I am going to run conduit for all the cabling and still need to do the isolator, also need a new fair lead adaptor thing to suit my bar.

Nice one mate! The guys who sold you the bar should have told you that and supplied you with one.

what you did you do with the plastic inner guard Mug64, did you cut it and did you cable tie it to the chassis?

Jjust got a stanley knife and did a "close enough" cut a bit lower than were the bull bar finishes then tucked it up inside the bar, no ties the lip of the bar holds it in well enough
