Been on this forum for a while. Heaps of good info on here

Thought i would throw up my ute. I have had it for a while now but havent had the coin to do what i want with it yet so it is slowly coming together.
Image

first things
- tint
- additional fuel/water seperator filter
- new rubber and rims. i went the standard sr5 mags as i got them for about 300 each (bit more than what i wanted to pay but i like the style) matched up with 265/65/17 bf at's.
- removed the standard useless side steps
Image

Had it looking like this for a while so i could save a bit more coin
Once i got a bit of time i installed
- safari snorkel
- replaced the side steps with TJM ones, pretty solid and and they were easy to install.
I went around and got a quote through opposite lock, arb and tjm up here. TJM wasnt the cheapest but i liked the gear so i went with them to install
- T13 Outback Bar and Foggies
- Premier Gunshot 9500lb winch
- Dual Battery system with a 12volt socket mounted in the tray for the waeco
- GME TX3350 UHF, i had them install most of it under the dash and i mounted the rest were i wanted it
- Longranger 140ltr replacement fuel tank
- TJM series 4000 suspension system 2" lift
Image

Next up is
- 3'' exhaust
- spotties
- tonneau cover or hard lid (haven't decided yet)
- roof rack and awning

cheers

Looks good mate, those sidesteps look to give plenty of clearance. How have you found the tx3350?

haven't had the chance to use it much. the only downside i would have thought would be how loud it was as everything is on the handpiece.
it is louder than i thought it would be so happy there.
poor image but this is where i mounted it

Decided i would put a spray in liner for the tub, had a look at a few posts on here and ended up sourcing a 4ltr U-POL
Raptor kit locally for $295.
Sanded back the tub and gave it a good clean
Image

sprayed over a few deep scratches and marks with some rust guard etch primer and then taped up.

Wiped it over with some wax and grease remover.....now ready for the paint

We used all 4 bottles as i wanted it to be pretty thick so we gave it a few coats. After the last coat we pulled all the tape and sheets off. Came up a treat

Really nice work on that tub, that looks sick. Does your long range tank hang down far past the chassis rail? 140 litres would be very handy !

A Bit !!
I'd destroy that in the first river I went through
Maybe a steel skid plate under it? :D

yea i didnt think it would sit that far down to be honest. Still a fair bit of clearance there, though the photo doesn't do it much justice.
Bank account doesnt like me much at the moment but i will look into some under body protection soon.

Your not on ya own there
My ambitions far out weigh my bank account
Stick with it mate your on the rite track, and the main thing is getting out there and doing it, you don't have to have all the best of the best to enjoy a weekend in the bush with good friends, a few beers and a feed on the fire
Good on ya keep it up
:D :D :D

3" stainless exhaust arrived today.
I went with the domin8r as it was too hard to go past for the money. 5 year warranty and aussie made.
Will hopefully have time this weekend to install.

Nice build up mate.
How have you found the domin8r exhaust? I'm thinking of getting one for my bus. Cheers

Sorry for the late reply, i havent been on much. Its great, i had a crack at installing it myself but the turbo flange bolts drove me mad. Got my mechanic to do it and even he said it was a pain in the ass. It wouldnt have helped him with me screwing around with them before hand though.
For the price and a 5 year warranty i dont think you can go wrong with it.

While it was in for that i also got him to throw in a hpd oil catch can and give it a egr and intake clean. Was interesting to see how much soot buildup there was only after 30,000kms. Also put a plate with a 8mm hole in to restrict flow but im not sure about it.

Recently i have replaced the tub with a alloy tray and looking to put a canopy on it in future.
Image

Just installed a PSICO Performance airbox with one of their offroad filters. It was a tight squeeze in with the ABS and i had to make up a bracket to move the catch can over a bit but it made it in there.
Image

Also got one of their FMI's to install, but still trying to figure out where to now mount my redarc charger to make room. Any Idea's? not much room left under the bonnet and i still want it somewhere up the front to keep it cool.

Morrison fabrication made it for me. I think they are about 3k fitted. Great bunch of blokes and well worth the money.

Hi
I am surprised that sr5 standard 17 rims with 265 fit without flares? No issues?
