Thatguy's SR buildup

Hey guys, so a couple of months ago I picked up a brand new SR. Thought I'd keep a log of everything I've done / how much money I've lost haha.

For some reason you will need to click on some of the photos as they're cropped.
When I picked it up:

Straight outta factory stock flex.

Some random pics of mods etc.

Bullbar, snorkel, recovery points, uhf in.

Kings 2.5x2.5 awning + rhino clamp on roof racks went on

And finally after destroying the hell out of my side steps for the last two months went and bought some phat bars sliders.

Current mods:
- tjm t3 explorer bar
- tjm airtec snorkel
- road safe recovery points
- roof racks + awning
- gme tx3120s
- phat bars bash plates + sliders
- utemart flares
- runva 11xp

Planned:
- 2" lift
- tyres
- dual battery
- sr5 sports bars powder coated black.

That's two months progress so far, more pics to come.

Mate, you gotta resize the photos so it doesn't crop them. The dimensions to resize them to are on one of the photo sandpit threads.

looks mint. Love the photos

Cheers guys, been a while but few more updates:

Runva 11xp in:

The winch wasn't too bad to install, a lot of people said the bullbar needed to droppe but we managed to get it in by dropping it through the top. We unbolted the grill and it just slipped in. This was with a Tjm T3 explorer bar (single hoop)

The main issue we had was the control box mounting location. As the t3 bar is more of a slimline bar, there wasn't enough room to mount it on the bar. So we mounted it on the grill bracket inside the bullbar. Still easy to access / out of sight.

Cheap dust-proofing of tub:

Was in a bit of a rush to get some dust-proofing run so didn't have enough time to buy the kit from browndavis or whoever makes it.

So ended up getting an air compressor and feeling exactly where all of the air came in.

few little openings:

So I ended up going to bunnings and buying this for $10

Has held up kind of ok (been on for 6-7 months) with eskies etc sliding up against it and rubbing it down.

After doing this we were off to the high country, few random pics:

265/70's to go on once these wear down.

Lightbar:

So ended up getting a pure hyperspot light bar from STEDI. 22". Pure hyperspot = no flood, just straight length.

Really really far, can easily see 1km. Pretty happy with it.

Image

Pretty easy to install, came with a wiring loom already done. The longest part was making the narva light bar rocker switch fit.

These don't fit into the panels, you can get OEM ones that fit but I believe they're the push style switches.

Basically the key way (inside the panel) gets in the way as you can see from above. Initially I used a file to cut it down but it took too long, so I got a serrated kitchen knife and it came off straight away.

I mainly took off from the sides and a bit of the bottom keyway to make it fit.

Looks really good man, I'm hoping to do similar mods in the future. Also the smiley face is awesome, I had a good chuckle when I saw it.
