I had a tonneau but once I take off the "sports bar" and add the racks for the tent, I'll have holes in it where I don't want them and no holes where I need them. So the old tonneau is useless anyway, might as well look at other options.

Will have to drill holes in the roof for this one! :O

Regarding drilling holes in the roof of the Hilux,
I remember seeing somewhere on the forum that there are pre-drilled holes in the rain-gutter of these trucks? Or am i wrong...? Cant seem to find that thread i saw...

That rack looks sweet. I've never seen any holes in a lux roof. Had to drill holes for all the ones I've fitted.

The brand is called Getodin.eu, a small company in poland that makes these. Chatted with a guy called Piotr.
Talked about the possibilites to do some changes for me. "No problem" he said!
So i’ve got a special one ordered in!

Keep watch for a new update soon! ;)

Nice low profile roof rack.

How did you go with the tub rack? I had a mate help weld mine up a few days ago. Just have to finish spraying it, then remount it and put the tent on when it turns up. I think I got it at just the right height so that the highest part of the tent cover will sit at or below the roof line, will know when the tent goes on haha.

The tonneau is still off for now. Not sure what I'll end up doing there, still deciding.

I don't like the system for attaching to the rack so I'll probably weld a little addition onto the rack so the tent can bolt straight through it. The rack is just fixed with tech screws for now. Once I've done the spray on tub liner I'll drill and bolt it. First attempt at posting photos so I used tapatalk, here goes...

Looks great mate!

Curious to know what did the hight of the rack measure?
And also the total hight from the bed top to the top of the roof tent?

Just use taptalk mate, much easier to post pics!

Yeah that was with tapatalk but the pics are still massive sorry.

To be honest we did it all by guesstamations and there wasn't a lot of measuring going on. I just got one to a size and angle I liked and then cut the other 4 posts to match. Then tacked them on two at a time and drew a line where the cross bar met with it. Hahaha very rough way of doing it but it worked perfectly.

I was aiming for 200mm from top of tub to top of the cross bar and ended up being over that, around 240mm from memory.

Not sure what you mean about the second measurement? Do you mean the top of the mattress to the top of the inside of the tent when it's set up? Or do you mean from the inside of the tub to the top of the tent, while packed up?

240mm seems to be a good hight.

My second question was; the hight from the top of the tub to the top of the tent when its closed :)

475mm from top of tub to top of tent while packed up with cover on (just below top of cab)
570mm from top of tub to top of ladder while packer up with cover on (just above top of cab)
