hey guys thought it was about time i chucked up my new baby it's my first 4wd and i'm totally in love with it. It's a 2015 sr5 auto hilux in silver sky color i actually wanted sterling silver but they discontinued it last year but i actually think i like this color better now. it's pretty much stock for now but it's got tonneau and tub liner and mats also had the front windows tinted to match the back. It won't stay stock for long what iv'e got planned for it at the minute to set it up for camping/touring is 2"efs lift , put some steelies on with 265/70/17 all terrains the new versions , arb rear bar , dual battery , a few light bars front and rear and see what else needs doing along the way. i can't wait to start heading away a lot more camping and 4wd and see how well she actually goes off road. It's a total dream to drive compared to the old tray back 06 workmate.

Welcome mate. I absolutely love that color and I wish it was around when I purchased my charcoal color in 2014

Sweet looking ride mate. Would say that is the next best colour after charcoal then maybe blue.

If you want some good pics of a Sahara bar fitted let me know and I can send you some to help decide.

so in the works now the rekon kit can't wait to order it and get it in. I'm hoping to run 2.5" up front and maybe 1.5-2" rear without having to do the diff drop/bash plate route. what's everyone else running spring rate wise in their kits i've spoken to matty and he recommended the progressive springs up front because eventually the front will have winch , dual battery , sahara bar and the hd springs would be way to harsh without all the gear on but the progressive springs would still cope fine with everything on i don't generally carry much weight up back day to day but it gets loaded when we head away with camping gear and the motorbike what would be the best spring rate up back ?

so the truck has seen a few upgrades and a few drops in the bank account. iv'e had the roof rack and awning put on love them both also had the snorkel and diff breathers done. went with a arb rear/step tow bar. and today got my new wheels and tyres dynamic steel rims 17x8 in a +10 and 265/70/17 ko2 man they are huge compared to the stock tyres the tyre blokes assured me there was minimal mud flap scrubbing but after a short drive that was not apparent massive scrubbing on the front bar inner guard and mud flaps so off came the flaps and out came the grinder. not ideal but thought i would get away with it till i get my bull bar or lift but had to do a fair bit of trimming hopefully is all good and wont be to bad if i get out for a wheel. at least i've got a good excuse to get the bar or suspension now just don't know which is going be more beneficial for my scrubbing issues. also bout a waeco cfx50 with the awing best bit of gear no more ice just need to get the dual battery system sorted asap to man the list goes on and on im totally addicted just need more funds. on terms of suspension think im going to get the ultimate 2" lift would love the rekon but it's a fair bit more coin i can spend elsewhere

Looking good. Get the lift first. The bullbar is only going to make the scrubbing issues worse.

Nice mate, truck looks awesome!

They're the exact tyre, tyre size and rim that I'm about to buy for mine, but I'm just undecided on rim offset, leaning towards a +10 but just unsure. Is there any chance that you have a pic of them side on so I can see where they sit with the guards? Would appreciate it big time!

Cheers mate

And are they really only 265/70R17's? They look bigger and wider than that!

yeah man will have a look yep there only 265/70/17 there huge i wouldn't recommend putting them on without a lift unless your prepared to do a fair bit of trimming like i had to makes me wonder how people fit mud terrains on with no lift ??

Yeah man I'm going to be doing a 2" lift, so that should be sweet.

Also, whered you get the +10 offset sunnies? Everywhere I ask everyone trys to tell me that they have like +20 or 0 offset, can't find a +10 :/

Cheers man

Hmm well they used because that's what's on mine. Maybe check out the latest on the fitting 33's thread. I haven't been around here for a while.
