Postby josh199 on Fri, 24 Apr 2015 3:46 +0000

Just picked up my new hilux. 2015 hilux sr5 graphite manual turbo diesel.

A week in advance though i already sourced a set of 5 x Fj cruiser rims which i am going to get powdercoated black.

I ordered a 3" cal offroad bilstein lift kit and diff drop kit.

Also going to purchase an arb rear step/towbar

For now.

Ongoing project.

Just ordered some seat covers, a flush tonneau and a rubber mat.

Going to get a spray in liner

Thinking of running an arb deluxe bar upfront and an arb rear step/towbar.

Or...an xrox bar?
Thoughts?

Ended up going with a buds customs triple hoop angry eye bar. Reasonably priced i thought. I should be able to do it myself. Managed a couple of xroxs on my old gqs myself before. I like the look of them, they are different and winch compatible which was important to me.

I like the arb deluxe bar colour coded but in black most brands seem pretty similar.

I have the xtreme coat spray liner, very happy with it. Decided what you're doing rear bar wise. Pretty happy with my arb rear bar, and sold the stock rear bar pretty quick for $250 or something on gumtree so the changeover price works out pretty reasonable :D

Got my 3" caloffroad tour oack fitted today. Ended up with 4" of lift upfront atm as i allowed for extra weight once a bullbar and winch is fitted. Waiting on my buds bar. Hopefully it will be here by christmas lol. I got my fj cruiser rims sprayed gloss black they look very clean. Just need to wrap them in some new rubber. If i run 285 70 17s on fj cruiser rims and 3" cal offroad lift will i have any scrubbing?

Suspension, extended brake lines and fj cruiser rims glossed black wrapped with maxxis bighorn 762's all fitted up. So happy. A bit high in the front atm but once my buds bar is fitted along with my winch it should drop a bit. Also need to go with the monster rides diff relocation brackets i reckon as the caloffroad 1" diff drop just doesnt cut it

The rims actually look good mate. I thought they would look shit to be honest. Are you having any issues with the tyres scrubbing on guards, etc?

Very minor scrubbing man on the front flaps but ive pinned em back and the front bumper a little. If buds didnt take so long to get me my bloody bar i would be set as half the bumper is trimmed when the bars fitted ya know...

Dont think you will have any scrubbing with a 275 champ but not 100% im just clipping the front bumper atm. I have a bar on the way so not worried. Also ordered monster rides diff relocation brackets and bash plates plus im gunna get uca's done by my suspension bloke once the monster rides gear rocks up. My caloffroad 1" spacer drop does bugger all for my cv angles.
