i got the ute a week ago with 175,000km
so far its running great and hope it stays that way .
so lets get to it .

Image

Image

Its a 2006 sr5 auto diesel .

Mods done when i purchased .

-dual battery
-sports bar
-bar light
-long range fuel tank
-reverse camera - runs on its own screen . need to sort this out as the screen is in a bad place
-water rank under tray
-Arb rear step /tow
-electronic brakes system
-Fog lights
-Hid spotlights - getting rid of these

What i will be doing Asap

Bullbar - looking at a ironman
- removing the tub
-steel tray with trundle
-lockable mesh cage over the top of the tray with roof racks
-canvas over the mesh with fly screen sides
-custom brush-bars and sliders
-Roof tray with inbuilt Bar light holder
-snorkel
-New head unit for stereo - i love music so any tips in this area would be amazing
-2inch lift to help level out after tray and bar mods

future mods
-stereo upgrade
-canvas seat covers

i am a carpenter so im going to have to get other people to do this stuff . but i will be trying to do a fair bit of it myself .
i love learning so this is the place to be .
im in the Sutherland shire so any advice around here would be amazing .

thanks for looking and i cant wait to get started

so i have booked the hilux in for a ironman front bullbar .

also with a 12,500 pound winch .

i chose this one . .

Image

i know its not arb but for the price of it and what they are doing for the lights and so on i really like the bar .

also had led parking lights and blinkers on there .

i know its all personal pref . .

also organised a nice 2" lift for the car once all the works are done . .

also underway is a steel tray :)

Nice rig mate. Just keep an eye on that bar mate! Make sure it's been fitted properly and stays nice and tight, especially if ya gunna be winching with it! Seen a lot of damage to chassis from them bars! What lift r ya goin for?

hey toyzx . .

looks like im going to go for the ironman foam cell lift .

its 2" but the guys at the shop said that u can get a bit more closer to 3" without the engineers certificate and so on .
going to have to be for a heavier load cause of tools and so on for work then for traveling also .

:)

Yeah cool. Just keep an eye on them cv angles when ya get around 3inchs. Great mod that seat one! Plenty of little tricks like that on here mate, power window mod is one of my favorites!

Sent u some info on the audio situation mate. Coming along nicely there, u thought about bash plates? If u got all the other tough shit might as well look after the underneath too

yeh i think im going to definatly get that on the underside .

its got a long range tank in it so not sure about that over rocks and so on .

Looks like the goods mate! if it's got a long ranger tank, they are pretty strong and you'd have to be really unlucky to knock a hole in it. If ya gunna get serious I'd be getting rid of those dodgy side steps and get a good set of rock sliders to protect them sills.
