You'll be fine mate. Just follow the instructions! One pointer I can give is to get ya self a roll of 50mm masking tape and cover the whole guard and flare. Makes it easier to mark out your template and also protects your paint and flare from HOT bit of metal from while drilling!

Safari snorkel? Don't have to remove the flare, don't have to remove the wheel but it does make it easier as ya have more room to move and to get the inner guard out with the wheel off. Ya don't have to drill all the holes out to 16mm either! I usually find 10-12mm is plenty.

his knowledge is incredible .
i have been in the music industry for 15 years or so any he still blew me apart with everything he was saying .

the sad thing is i really want his stereo and reverse camera system but it might be a little over budget .

time to get a second job i think . . . i just love music and good sound to much

With ya on that one, gotta have a good steza! I've been building car audio for as long as I've had a license, did it for a career for a while but not enough market for it in the country and ended up doin more phone kits and uhf than stereos. Even did a bit of db drag racing a few years ago. Still do a fair bit of it at home tho, that and fixing motos, helps pay for truck mods!

Wortho's Dual cab / Tray lights and other choices

Postby sjwortho on Thu, 14 May 2015 4:06 +0000

so im deciding on a few final things with the tray build at the moment . .

like . .

to put the roof tray on the back of the tuck on top of the tray and lockable canopy . or to put it on the front of the truck .

im more swinging towards the front end . . .

ill attach a couple of drawings from matt the guy who is building it all up for me from kinselas customs

Image

above with roof tray above canopy . which will be convered in canvas

also with a wheel mount on the back

Image
above just with ladder racks on the back end . . . then the tray wil be on the front of the truck

also deciding on lights at the moment

also deciding on lights .
im swinging towards this style .
Image

or the round lights

thanks guys

Tray looks great
Looks very much like a mate of mine has on his LandCruiser with a canvas cover over it all
Works real well

Yeah they were really good. Copped a fair bit of water and sand and never died on me. I ended up selling it to a guy in Sydney.
Will need resistors though being a led. Also there adr approved so the coppers won't hassle you. Real bright

Looks good mate! Those lights r done by a mob called apauto.com.au. As for power, and I'm no expert on it cos I haven't looked into it much myself yet (no doubt I will when the 33s go on!) But if ya have a bit of a read, from what if heard and read a good exhaust and a proper stand alone computer (hks) with a good tune on the dynoed will get ya sorted. I think justautos on here r the mob to speak to on that. Most the piggy back units ya mixed reviews on.

ive got 33's on mine and went with a unichip and 4.11 diff gears (auto) and its quicker now than it was with 29's. ive also got a 3 inch exhaust and pedal torque throttle chip. unless you want excessive power all you need is the chip and exhaust and you wont notice 33's

i also went with round light for my tray as im not a huge fan of the bar ones
