Flipping it didn't end up working in the end.

Mounting complete just needs wiring, control box will go in the engine bay but the wiring isn't long enough to reach the winch so I'll need to get some 2 B&S with conduit.

Plan is to have the remote inside the cabin attached to the control box.

Plenty of room to access the clutch with the bar on.

Bought 30m roll of 2B&S today, going halves with a mate. Spewin I don't have white heat shrink! Went to SCA to get some but not at that price!

That's not too bad I guess, considering I was quoted $120 for a 30m roll of 3mm twin core from Repco  which I politely declined then went and bought it for $35 at Ashdown Ingram. I tend to buy everything by the roll also, heaps cheaper as you say.

Wow, that's ridiculous price for twin core cable. I guess they charge per meter regardless if you it full rolls.

Try to avoid the major auto retailers, supercheap is good for specials and they sell Liqui-Moly but anything else its rubbish. I prefer autobahn but the nearest one is 20 minutes away, Repco has alright tools I guess but again avoid it if I can.

I like to support the local smaller retailers such as Bursons, Global Auto etc and find the prices are similar and in some cases cheaper than what you would expect from SCA, Repco, Autobahn etc..

Going to be a pita getting this over the EGR studs, hopefully I can get the cooler loose enough without having to remove everything else...

It's very difficult even with the whole cooler adrift both ends.
Only thing that makes it easier is if the fuel lines are off.
Be careful getting the common rail plug off, tight bitch.
You need it off to get o the 2x 10mm nuts.

Let us know how you get on. Nice truck.
New DENSO Injectors are the go! New genuine parts.

Does that blank sit under the egr valve on the intake or other end?

Cut the side of the holes out, that way you can just slip it in and don't have to clear the end of the studs. Kinds like this.

I managed to get enough room with a bit of an anticlockwise rotation to the cooler once it was free (everything except the coolant lines) & needed to undo the electrics connector for space. That has a slightly ribbed section on one side & the 'button' release is opposite to this, engine-side.

Took a few goes & inadvertently opposed the gasket off a few times but got it done..... Breath.

Got the restriction plate in without having to remove everything just loosened both sides of the cooler, throttle body and EGR valve.

Had it completely blocked when I first bought the ute as well as a catch can but got fed up having to constantly delete EGR fault codes.

Catch cans working well, dry on both sides of the intake pipes and within the throttle body. Obviously there is soot present but only a little bit and dry, the combination of a restriction plate and the catch can will no doubt significantly reduce any buildup.

Gotta say the 12mm nuts are soft as butter, didn't round them off but they will need to be replaced.
