My missus is a vet at the local clinic, red belly anti venom costs them over a grand. Brown snake is only a few hundred plus whatever the clinic charges. My tip would be find a close rural vet as theyre generally heaps cheaper than city vets for small animal stuff.
Snakes generally dont worry me but this one was big and pretty aggressive so he had to go

Haha doesnt bother me at all but its generally not the vets but the practice owners making the money. My missus would earn more as a cleaner lol

Finally got around to replacing my busted taillights. Ashdowns wanted $270 for replacement roumd ones so i got some rectangular ones instead.
So put with the old cut out the circles and welded in some plate.
Just need the paint to dry them ill wire up the new ones

Draws beem in for a while just had to pull it out to cut put the old lights

Got the lights finished today. Really should of thought more about how i was going to get at the back to do up the nuts cos it was a shit show

Had a shocker of a day and the lux has died.
Was driving to nebo for a wedding camper in tow. Camped at baralaba for the night and left again this morning. Made iy 40kms out and lost all boost egts climbed and so did oil temp. Pulled over and sgut it down thinking id popped an ic pipe. Had a look, tons of oil down the turbo side of the block and the front housing wobbles. f$@#&%.
Started iy back up and its running on 3 cylinders. Still has plenty of oil and coolant. So i recon an injectors gone and killed a piston which on its way through f$@#&% my turbo of somwtging major has gone. The missus bummed a lift back home to hire a car trailer to come get me and i got a tow truck back to the pub. Will be many beers this arvo and monday ill comp test it amd start pulling it down yo see what happened. f$@#&% car might be time to downgrade to an excell

Nope was just cruising alomg at 100kmh egt were fine oil and coolant temp were fine till it died yhem egts got up to 600 and no boost. Pulled straight over and shut it off. Got it back into the shed today so tomorrow ill start it pull injector plugs to see what cylinder is missing then pull that injector and have a look with my inspection cam. Ill pressure test it tomorrow arvo and see whats happening.
Shout out to billy if he ever sees this he pulled over to see if we were ok and ended up towing the trailer 500km bacl to our house amd taking the missus home so she could hire a car trailer and come get me. Also to john from baralaba who came and towed me back to the pub

Got stuck in this arvo after procrastinating all morning. Started it up and pulled injector plugs which narrowed it down to no3 missing. Pulled the tappet cover and injector 3 no obvious seal issues and the injector looks ok.
Have to wait till tomorrow to borrow a comp tester and see if its f$@#&%

Might just be the lack of light and distance in 2nd shot but is that carbon sludge built up in there?

No carbon sludge just oil camt see down the injector hole very well with my inspection camera so i guess ill find put tomorrow when i comp test it. Hopeing massively that its just a dead injector and the turbo dying is a coincidence. Ill gey some better pics tomorrow fot no lights in the shed and it was overcast and pretty dark today
