havent really cranked it yet ( my missus was trying to study and cracked the shits), but its fairly awesome sound quality. I do have a bit of a static buzz from the amp at zero volume. Ill disconnect the input to the amp tomorrow and see if it goes away if not i get a ferrite for power lines and see if i can choke it out

i went with rhys at nq crd tuning, cheers for the recommendation. I had a chat to rhys the other day and we decided to go with the unichip with egt sensor and the bluetooth module so i can change maps with my phone. Im also getting the intercooler recored, ill post up results once its done

got my car back from the workshop this morning after having the unichip installed, got it done at stuart drive autocare (NQ CRD TUNING), very good service. At the moment ive just got the Q4 module in without the injector driver as rhys asked me to get some economy stats for him. the lux drives heaps better now and theres a noticable increase in power. Im waiting on some bluetooth modules to land in australia then itll be back in to get the injector driver installed and a few diffferent maps set up, ill probably get the intercooler recored at the same time.
it was installed in my glovebox but i moved it to free up my glovebox space, its just held in with velcro at the moment but ill sort out a more permanent solution in the next few days
Image
Also had my bonnet protector turn up so i chucked it on this morning
Image
now ive run out of gear to put on the lux (waiting for more stuff to arrive) i thought id have a look at the 60L engel my brother gave me a christmas, he got it given to him because it wasnt cooling and being that im a sparky i thought id have a crack at fixing it. the compressor runs but it doesnt cool so i pulled it apart to get ready to put a some guages on it to check pressures and come across this
Image
pretty sure i found my fault :D
Ill make some calls monday and see what a compressor assembly will set me back, should still be cheaper than a new fridge
Anyone now any good (cheap) engel parts suppliers?

got my long range tank installed today, i would have done it myself but you need a mod plate in QLD for extra fuel so i paid installation on this one
pretty poor pic
Image
and after getting some quotes on replacement cooling unit for the engel I decided it was better to just pick up a new fridge, seen this at opposite lock and couldnt pass it up, heaps of warranty and was only $100 dearer than fixing the other fridge was going to cost
Image
it came with a cover as well
i also ordered a ironman tradie roofrack which should turn up next week, ill whack some pics up when i install it

Just out of interest, how far beneath the bottom of the chassis rail does the new tank sit?

my bonnet struts turned up today so i figured easy 10 min job, they just fit in with the dual bat setup and i had to cut down the bat clamp bolt but it went in. Ill keep an eye on it to make sure its not rubbing on anything
theyre sustec brand off ebay

and on a different note i had they guys who installed my chip chuck on my pre filter as i didnt have any sealant handy, its a standyne kit from opposite lock, the bracket seems really flimsy and has a fair bit of wiggle in it enough that the filter top can touch the engine cover. Has anyone else has anyone had any dramas with it breaking the bracket or rubbing the engine cover? its probably a non issue however im not real happy with it. I may even pull it back out and gusset the bracket to reinforce it a bit

had some more gear turn up over the last week or so and now ive recovered from australia day enough to be productive again i figured i fit some of it up
I got a rhino rack tradie rack from opposite lock and the high lift jack mounts for it, fitted it up today. bit nerve racking drilling holes in your roof :D
Image
Image
Image
also had my first lot of gear from matt at monster rides turn up, so ive got some 4.11 diff gears sitting in the garage, just waiting on the lift kit to turn up before i get them and e lockers installed
A sticker came in the box (with some coolers ,cheers matty :D ) so i chucked it on this arvo
Image
I picked up a set of patrol 16x8 steelies ready to get some 285 75 16 Nitto trail grapplers fitted, just got to put in some hours and clean them up and paint them black first
Image
Ive also got a 2x3m awning ready to go on but the brackets that came with it wont work on the rack so ill pick some up tomorrow and fit it up.
And i have an air on board diff breather kit sitting in the garage, im just waiting till its lifted so i can get the lengths right

I know what you mean about drilling holes in the roof, I just fitted rhino racks last week myself.
It just seems wrong.

How does the mozzy net attach at the top? Are there many gaps?

it has runner things on the front and back that attach to the awning and velcro tabs down the sides, it has a roof as well and is completely sealed. so theres no gaps at all, its a cube without the floor
