I ordered a set of rhino roof racks today, I'm not sure if I will put them on myself or pay for them to do it.
I'm not really keen on drilling holes in my own roof.

Better you than someone else.
There was a horror story not so long ago on this forum where some clown installed the rails beside the rail track.
Rhino sell a good kit with good instructions - piss easy, just take your time.

I read that horror story, not good.

I looked up the fitting instructions on the net, seems easy enough. it doesnt mean that i will like drilling through my roof though. Maybe if some body let me practice on their car first!

I fitted the tracks for the roof racks tonight. I still have to fit the cross bars and the rubber strips back into the roof, but it is getting late and it is beer oclock.

Yes, easy enough to do. Just make sure you have everything you need before you start.

The hardest part is drilling that first hole in the roof of your brand new car. It just seems wrong.

haha I felt the same way when I was cutting the hooks off the rear seat for the "rear seat mod" and that's not nearly as drastic as drilling through the roof!

Well, finished putting the roof rack together. Rhino rack vortex bars with quick release legs.

Very tidy looking outfit mate. And well thought out before jumping in with a handfull of $$$. Have you thought of removing the Toyota from tailgate. Looks 200% better!!

Thanks guys,

I have considered taking the toyota off the back, but i kind of like it there. The chrome stickers dont stand out all that much on the silver colour.

One of your firs photos shows a recovery point on your bash plate. What brand was that? Got the ARB red but rest of it doesn't match.

ARB recovery point. It is behind bash plate with a hole cut in it. It just looks different because of the camera angle.

Also bought a tailgate dust seal kit from Brown Davis for about $70. Will fit it when I get a chance to.
