So about a month ago I bought this 2005 SR for $20,000 with 182,000 kms on the clock

Already installed was:
Dual batteries
Toyota bull bar with winch
Side steps
Scrub bars
Steel tray
Under body tool boxes
145 Litre tank
Reversing light and rear work light
Outback overhead console
ARB compressor under bonnet
4x off road tyres (bald)
& some other bits and pieces

Already added some small bits to it:
Chopped out these stock rockers

Cut out some aluminium adapter rings and put in some pioneers

Also cut out some holes for tie down points inside the tray:

And most recently I bolted on a bonnet protector after a bit of drilling through the factory recall plate:

Thanks Ultra.
Just installed the passenger side cup holder today, its amazing how the little things make and improvement.
Looking for some other small cost mods to do.

Already have a list of things to do:
New wheels and rims
Rear speakers and a sub
Reverse camera
2.7ish meter ramps for the bikes to get them on the tray
Some spot lights (maybe a light bar too?)
Install a UHF in the over head console
Interior LED lights
Maybe some chrome and plastic bits too

Got some of my next projects on the go.
UHF mounted in the overhead console just gotta pick up an antenna and run the wires up there :?

Pulled out the lower switch panel (for a couple of jobs that are gonna consume some time and $$$) when i noticed that the little security light wasn't plugged into anything

Is this something i should be worried about? Coz i cant find the end of the pug anywhere in the dash :?:

Also while i was chasing wiring around the dash and through the firewall I remembered i need to clean this mess up!@@!!!

Any ideas on a good solution to this wiring nightmare?

Cheers Pete, looks like ALLOT of work.
Think i might do an easier option of an aftermarket fuse box(narva type deal)

Scored a set of pioneers off ebay for a whopping great $44 :o

While i had the panels out I figured i would bolt a fire extinguisher in on the passenger side

Image

Also bought a few custom rockers for $9.95 a pop, love these things they look awesome.
Now i just gotta find the time to hook them up and buy some spot lights.

Looks good mate I like where you put the fire extinguisher. Also are those Narva switches or eBay specials?

Cheers

The extinguisher was a bit of a squeeze to get in there. Most of them are too tall and the top part of the trigger hits the plastic. Thats a bunnings one that i got for $20.

Just searched custom rockers on ebay and then hunted down a good price on them.
A bit of a pain in the ass to fit due to the holes in the dash being just a tad too small. Fairly soft plastic so cut it down with a Stanley knife.

Dremels are your best friend for interior mods, I will eventually get around to replacing my switched with rockers but mine will say "bunny burners" and "zombie lights" Lol. That's the same extinguisher as I have only I fitted mine into the tool box in the back I'm pretty sure its the last place that would catch on fire so I should be able to get to it.

Cheers

Sure mate what did you want to know?
Its an outback roof console, was already installed when i got the lux. I had to replace the mounting bracket at the front so it would hold the UHF as well.

Nah its an indicator to disengage the front hubs when in low 4 so you can move a trailer around easier. The bloke who owned it before me installed it.

Farrk these things are bright. Decided to drop the rego plate down to allow some more air into the radiator due to the loss from adding the lights. Sooo now i have a James Bond rego plate that in on a hinge for when i want to use the winch
