hows byfield looking after all the rain up that way?

Yeah looked good, few crossings are deeper than normal and the sands not near as soft but still a good day and all looks good up that way, very green.

Thankyou all, first things will be flat floor it and get a jack off system in place to be able to take it on and off. Then I have plans to have a small stand up area in on end with a bed and underneath that on one side will be the kitchen and on the other side storage. Gas struts on the doors to. These bits of wood have got to go lol.

Flat floor has started not much to look at yet but once in I reckon before and after photos will tell a huge story, canvas has been fixed as well.

Frame mostly welded up few bits to go over. Then paint.



Started work on the floor and covering. Both panels cut and one carpeted then ran out of staples so tomorrow will be a trip to town for supplies and then hopefully I'll be able to swap out the bases.

On its legs, few modifications to limit play but I think they'll work, now to start the tray affixing and the interior. Going away to a shooting competition next weekend with it and before then I need to:

Affix to tray
Canvas back on
Fix striker plates
Fix one doors base plate
Put battery and DC-DC back in
Put fridge in
Put mattress in

Gonna be tight but I'm confident I can do it.

Progress: mounted on tray, canvas back on, bed sorted. Tomorrow I'll put the battery in and wire it all up. Have to figure out why I have a door issue though so hopefully it's an easy fix.

Turtle went great guns! More work to do but basically the idea is sound and it's gonna work.



Got home and started her up on Thursday to a hum that wasn't there before? Hmm not good couldn't figure out what it was until that night when the car wouldn't start bloody alternator. Anyway yesterday replaced it with an OEX 130A unit and seemed to fix the hum and charging issues. Gotta love it when a plan comes together.
