So side steps and bar are back on, happy with the results and even happier to have finally done away with the standard ally steps

Towbar lift complete , bye bye chrome rear step
Now the spare tyre is the lowest point, come out alright Image
Sits right up against the tub, I guessed that bit well considering I made the brackets at work 1500kms away and guesstimated the measurements taking the body lift into consideration

Before the lift Image

Now to plan my custom rear bar with dual water jerry can holder, going to keep it simple and as light as possible.

Also managed to finally repairy me noisy aircon compressor, clutch was chewed out to buggery ImageImage

Nice work mate. I was under the impression the air con in our truck wasn't serviceable! Guess not!

Cheers toyz, Yeah you can replace the clutch assembly pulley bearing and magnetic coil very easily. going off the condition of my clutch it was slipping as the faces were pitted and heavily worn. Only trick is you need to set your clutch gap though which is done with small washers behind the clutch face plate where it bolts to the compressor shaft. All in all it's a easy task just need a 10mm socket and circlip pliers.

I did try that also as mine has been noisy since I bought it 4 years ago also but they denied there was a fault.

So after a mission a few months back trying to access the south coast and destroying my paint with bush pin stripes in the process I thought it was a good excuse to buy an electrical polisher the day before I flew away to work for 2 weeks...... on arriving back at home I found my wife had buffed all the scratches out! Thought I better at least try the polisher out so I went a step further and de badged the old girl (well almost except for the indicator flames, that I am in two minds about). Now do to something about that chrome grille.

I then loaded up and took off south for a couple of days

Cheers Robbo , canopy and roof top tent are getting some more mods over the next few weeks. The photos are at a spot out of Margaret river a little bit north of Hamelin Bay, very nice spot. You in WA?

Safety Bay. I've gone from yeah, nah yeah too, I'm sure we've done harder things and the guides on here are good. So I'm at yeah again, just haven't decided when. Come take a look when I do then decide if you're up for it.
