Scored a new toy today, turned a few heads driving down the road like this

Found out the hard way how little you can fit in the back now with drawers and my reduced height canopy lol, but it's all good, that's what roof racks are for right.

Finally got around to finishing the drawers, carpeted the insides and a splash of black paint here and there also mounted the cooker.

Next up is to finish the Aux tank install once my solenoid valve arrives in the post

Ok so I have finally got around to plumbing in and fitting my Aux fuel and water tanks , after a few weeks waiting for the solenoid valve I have gone away from that setup due to the size of the valve, I have now bought a small fuel pump but for the test period I am simply gravity feeding from the aux tank via a small valve.

The water tank is a 78litre and for now is only relying on gravity also ( for now).
So I am yet to test these out but tomorrow I shal have to put some diesel in the Aux tank and let it splash around for a few kms to clean it out, then after my next swing at work I can fill it up and see how I goes, planning a trip up north in a few weeks so I hope to have all this and the new cooker set up and running.

Well decided black is a far better colour for a bullbar than silver so off with the bar again

Amazing how a bit of a colour change can make such a difference

my thoughts exactly! Just got to get a holiday and a few other expenses out of the way.
On another note inspected the throttle body for build up today ... 170k on the clock Image

Didn't do the whole clean as I had limited time, did however stick a restrictor plate in for now. I reckon i can feel the turbo spool up quicker but not sure if it is a placebo effect....

Yeah it's a terrible disease, but at least it is curable.... I now just need to find some time to clean it out :/

Did you notice any difference with the Egr plate in toyz?

I am going to look at my dads hilux's intake in a couple of weeks when I am over there on holidays, it has 250k on it!! That will be interesting.... I won't be cleaning the whole Egr on it as I won't have time but I will be suggesting he pays someone to do it, which I am sure he will agree once he sees it.

I think I did, spools up sooner and I reckon it stays spooled up when ya just poking around making it feel more responsive, I guess when ya just poking around the egr is usually open but now the gas is getting used more effectively.

Picked up my new steps today, so these will be going on tomorrow. Ended up going with Ironman as they were an absolute bargain.

Also got my bullbar back today from the powder coaters after getting stuffed around the first time, now time to re assemble and re install all the lights and UHF aerial

Finally had some good weather this break so we got to go away for a couple of nights over the weekend also , headed up north around Jurian Bay WA and found an absolute beauty of a spot, a bit of a mission getting here including getting the Lux airborne twice trying to get up a sand dune but to go somewhere relatively close to Perth and not see a sole for 3 days was well worth it.
