Bit of progress on the tray tonight. A shit load of grinding and shaping and the rear plate is ready to go in. Also scored a draw box the other day for nothing! Waiting on my 3inch head boards to show up and it'll be nearly ready to go on.Image

Awesome build! Tray looks the goods, I wish I could've made mine out of round. I think I'm going to borrow your draw idea and pull mine out and box it in completely, the slides on mine are rooted already from dirt and mud and the tray always seems to fill up with dust and mud. Are you putting a draw on slides in yours or just leaving it as a hole?

Cheers mate! The guy I scored it from is a tray builder and he just leaves it to slide on its self but in thinking about putting some thin strips of nylon in the lower corners so it slides a bit nicer and take up some of the play and movement.

Well probably the most expensive part of the build turned up today, probably going to have to donate a kidney to pay for them! I reckon they suit it but.Image Thought I'd better build in some protection for the expensive little suckers too! Image Had some plate left so I started knocking up a couple of battery trays for under the tray, one for me and another for a mate. Image

Bit of progress this weekend. Tub off and tray on, mounts made up, squared and measured twenty times, welded solid. Draw box in also, still waiting for the head boards tho. Rewired the whole rear end of the thing for the new leds and their resistors. Comin along nicely I think. Image

powder coat on powder coat will slide well enough mate. I have some rollers in mine, 400 or 500 kg rated, can't remember exactly, they look good anyways.

Looking awesome, bit late now but rather than wire in resistors for the LEDs you're better off getting a flasher can to suit that way there is no resistor getting hot, it's also easier to install, I got one off eBay for $15 or there abouts

Thanks gents! Oh well, resistors cost me nothing but if they ever pack it in I'll look into that. Cheers!

Bit more done last weekend, had to get the thing usable for the family holiday so it's not fully finished. Still some work on the head board to do, fold up some mud guards, finish of the air tank plumbing and fix the sub tank breather.ImageImageImageImage Got the high lift jack mounted too.Image

Cheers mate! The tank I made out of 2mm sheet that I had left over from another project. folded up the two halves, added a couple of baffles and welded it up. It's 45 liters and just piggybacks into the main tank. I still have to work out a better breather system and figure out if there is a way to manually reset the trip computer or distance to empty because now it counts down a good 400 k's b4 the fuel guage moves. Would be nice to be able to reset it once the guage starts to move.
