Low n slow

Hey guys,
Joined the forum a few months back now and have slowly started adding a few bits to my Lux
It's a 2010 xtra cab, D4D manual SR, ex dept of education with full Toyota service history. Picked it up in October last year with 70000km and have now bought the Odo up to 94000km, thanks to my work location and lack of connecting flights between the two towns.
So far I'm reasonably happy with the lux, but it has a lot of catching up to do compared to my last ute

Image
My other daily driver (or the budget controllers is a Prado v6)
Image
Image
I've had a variety of Fourbies ranging from Nissan & Toyota (6.5 chev turbos, 4.2 diesels, petrol luxs etc) even an old Daihatsu scat that the old man and myself restored and customized.
So as you know with any new truck, the lists are long and the bank account is short. So I started with the essentials.
Clean air
Image
Power for the beer (I mean smoko)
Image
Image
Image
And some window tint to block out the nasty Pilbara sun
Image
I even went as far as pinching the KM2 from the Prado
Image
And fitted a rod holder to the tailgate
Image
I have also got a set of MSA canvas seat covers on the front seats and swiped the Hema HN 6 from the Prado also.
So the list is long and confusing as to which winch bar to fit, ARB or buds
Which suspension to fit 2", 3", body lift. Make my own sliders or buy some. Knock up some under tray toolboxes.
But the next priority I think will have to be to get some air between the chassis and the ground and do something about that lack of low down torque
Decisions, decisions
Cheers

Looking good so far :)

Small update on the lux, will be ordering suspension next week. Just can't decide on who to go with.
Tough Dog $1560 supplied
Ultimate $1830 ( approx )supplied
Have run Tough Dog in previous vehicles and never had dramas ( apart from knocking the adjusting knobs of the shocks ) and a mate runs Ultimate in his Triton, who is really happy with the setup also. Bit of price difference wich could be put towards some under belly protection. I'm going to fit a 1" body lift as I have some 1" Teflon laying round that should do the job.
I know the forum is riddled with suspension queries, comments, who to go with and who not, but I just havin a hard time deciding

Suspension all fitted up. Took me and a mate 3&1/2 hours and 10 beers to have it installed. Wheel alignment is good, ride is great - although a little firmer than the stock crap :). Gained 90mm in the front and 50 from the rear. Was expecting a little more lift in the rear but, All in all, pretty happy.
Next up is the old body lift of 1"

Very nice mate! Love the idea of the fishing rod holders in the tray!
Quick question though. Why not just go 2" lift from the start instead of adding a 1" body?

Only going with 1" as I have some 1" Teflon lying around. I could double it up I suppose

Cheers mate

Exhaust is great. A lot more power in the higher rev range, handy when going up hills, helps the torque. Found I'm not changing down gears as often :)

It's is currently up for sale. Going to miss it, it's a great truck

After no bites on the truck to buy, decided to keep. Fitted some gumtree specials over the weekend. Canopy, bar, DPCHIP. Put the KM 2's back on also. Just need to change out the rear springs now, Tough Dog leaves are shit!! They have sagged nearly 40mm. 350kg constant load.
Moved Engel into tray also, much easier to access now, no more climbing over the seat

Don't know mate, still sitting in the box on the bench, haven't even opened the box and had a look. One day I might find some time away from work and have a look.
Currently using their awning 2.5 X 2.5 and the 3" exhaust and can't fault either product. Have also got their led camp headlight that I use for work that is bloody bright
