I was always in love with sr5 but didn't want one , not because of the cost but because of the carpet floors , I do like a 4X4 & out on the farm the boots do get muddy so I insisted on a vinyl .

So the first things I done to my rig were chrome handles and mirrors and my cute bonnet protector haha
Oh and of course put my custom plates on

Nice start. I notice there's no drills in the holes in the roof on those pics...

Got a list of things you'll be doing to it?

Next on the list was a bullbar .
so bought it and decided if fit it myself , I consider myself a little bit of a handy man.
it was a bit of a mission bymyself but I got there in the end !
I also added the chrome sports bar just for show.

of course ..

MUD TYRES !
Because it was still standard I decided to get 245/75/16 Maxxis Bighorns .
which I still have a year and 4 months later
(getting bigger tyres is one of my future mods)

next on the cards I got my mates from J&M Jones Motors (ARB Dealer) to install a 3" OME suspension lift all round with greasable shackles .

here's a comparison .

I was happy with there work & I was really starting to get into 4X4 and taking my daughter and girlfriend up the bush for weekends that going through deeper river crossing was getting a little worried so back I went and got myself a Safari Snorkel .

Followed by some playtime up the bush !

coming upto horse show time the mrs asked if she could borrow my rig, which when I actually decided to have a look to notice I never even had a tow bar haha .
so off I went back to my favourite little shop got myself a tow bar .
while I was in there I set my eyes on some RooLight 180 driving lights .
which I installed myself again .

some pics of some spots I get around too

mates aren't always available to go for a drive at times .
so time for a winch, I was very debated about what winch to get though . steel or dyneema , I'm sure plenty of people go through the same thing . and I hadn't joined this forum at the stage when I bought it . but being lazy I went with dyneema (being lighter to carry)
12,000pd Tigerz11 DOMINATOR winch .
I chose this specific winch because the clutch housing is easily shifted to a suitable spot to engage and dis engage .

(after using it only a couple of times I've found that dyneema may be good and light but is a pain in some aspects, doesn't really wind itself on properly therefore sometimes builds up in one spot where I have burnt a big or the rope)

welded sides on , removed my tub which was a bit of a pain in the ass!!
Folded up the wheel arches ,
debated whether to make them mould with the wheel or keep them simple . voted on simple :)

Test fitting before I weld on the 3mm checker plate flooring

Welded the checker plate down ,
Started spraying the primer .
had a debate within myself about the colour and the choice of paint .
wasn't easy BUT I come to the conclusion . I chose black to break up the white and also to get it colour coded to the car was going to cost a fair but extra also if I done that the paint would be very easy to chip and peel , so I used tupac black so it's tough and hard to scratch :)
