A shitty bent stock exhaust that's rubbing against the bolt on my leaf spring... annoying as all shit.

Goes well still with a stock exhaust and egt's are low enough for me not to worry about upgrading it straight away. It's def on the cards, just prioritising what I need first. I may need to have it re-tuned too once I get a new exhaust as it could spike the turbo.

I'll prob just go with the x-force exhausts they sell on eBay, it's within my budget. People are getting them for $600 or under from making offers - comes with hi-flow cat and muffler, though i'd prob scrap the muffler and put a resonator. Few blokes Ive seen have 'em rate them for the price. It'd be that or Scotts Rods Exhausts on here.

Recently fitted my snorkel. Used money I received over xmas to get it, and fitted it as soon as it arrived. Heart sank drilling into the car though.

Bloody prick of a job.. and a bit of bad luck and prob lack of experience on my part.
The attachment for the hole saw originally didn't fit my drill, so had to run down and grab my old mans drill from his place.

Didn't think i'd need a nutsert tool since it wasn't in the "required tools" list of the manual... which led me to a trip to bunnings, and a little while searching how to install nutserts without a nutsert tool. Ended up getting a long screw and nut, and using the pressure of the nut to collapse the nutsert.

Could barely get my hand on top of the snorkel (between the guards) to screw on the remaining nut, when I did, the nut dropped and rolled in just between the frame of the door and the door sills. Took a while to get out.

Also slipped while breaking the plastic clips on the guard liner, and sliced my arm open on part of the frame of the car. Healed up ok, but part of my sleeve is now slightly mis-aligned. Luckily a part that's not noticable.

I'm convinced there's a slight leak in the seal between the guard. Had Toyota check it, they think it's sealed fine, though blocking the snorkel gives a sound of a leak from there. Going to order some new gaurd liner clips and re-check myself to be 100%.

Haha, I just got a bit lucky over the weekend out at Toolangi with Jake and Nick (derchie) on one of the harder tracks. It had just poured down, so was pretty slippery.

Jake, twin locked, had to winch out, and Nick with some pretty aggressive tyres couldn't get the traction either and winched up. They started to get the extension straps and snatch blocks out to get me up since I don't have lockers or a winch... but I somehow just drove up the whole thing no worries. 8-)

Safe to say they were hating on me... 8-) 8-)

Was an awesome day out though!

Went out to give my car a quick clean this morning to find my bloody tonneau with ciggy burns in it! One burn, one put an actual hole in it.

Thing was custom made to fit my tub-liner from the mrs's old man as a b'day present a while back, after Tough Tonneau's said they can't be done to suit the SR5 standard liner. It cost them a few hundred to make.. now the things ruined. So f****ng pissed off. :x :x :x :x :x

Happened after going to my boss's bucks party. Had the bbq before they were going out at work since it looked over the city.. clearly someones lent out and flicked their ciggies onto my car. Don't know what to do, do I have a right to chase my boss after that now?

That sucks JB. What a bastard thing to do. I know what its like when you spend extra $ to get a custom job.
I have seen some pretty good repair jobs done before. You will always know its there but a good upholsterer/restoration specialist might be able help out.

I would have rathered one stumbling drunk into the car and dinting the door or something. At least that's fixable and never knowing what happened, the tonneau's most likely going to have quite an ugly patch or something on it now.

Going to take it around to get looked at this weekend, see what repair options are available for it. Fingers crossed there's a good solution.

Yeah I came to work pretty aggravated and been giving a few a bit of an earful. Boss is still off recovering though, so will chat to him when he's in too.

Not sure if there's much point flogging an inebriated horse - sounds like the boss wouldn't have a clue what happened

Here's a site I found doing a quick google for vinyl repair/restoration: http://www.uticolor.com.au/vinyl.html
