Quick update - took the deformed steps off last night, finally. Looks heaps better!
Image

Still getting used to 'em, too used to hopping out onto a step... lost my balance first time falling out, acted as if I was falling off a 50ft cliff and almost faceplanted. Did manage to just save myself though

Also ordered a set of sliders from Dominator 4x4. They say it's about a 5 week lead in time, so should have 'em by the end of November.
Cheers,
Jay

you'll get a bit of road rash with no steps on there. maybe throw a bit of tape or something along the bottom till the sliders arrive (perfect time for vinyl wrap)

I'll keep an eye on the sills, if it looks like they start showing heaps of chips, i'll def put something there temporarily.

I would have had them off a long time ago, they were only there for the mrs

Sweet as Jake, i'll check what's on, that may be the only free weekend for me in November too, so should be right 8-)

Jay

Got new sliders! Thanks to the Mr's, she organised them for me for my b'day and agreed we'd go halves in 'em.
They're from Dominator 4x4 in Qld. Got a really good deal on them, they extended their pre-christmas sale they had on for us, and got them in about 4 weeks. Quicker than what they originally estimated.

The quality on them is actually really good too, and their services is superb. I highly recommend them for anyone in the market for sliders.

They fitted up pretty easy too, except me being a clutz, slipped and dropped the ratchet and socket straight on my face... :?

Thinking of following Mad Dogs idea of putting grip tape on the top (with a few tests so I don't graze my calves off) for the misses. She's just recovered from back surgery so would hate seeing her slip for 6 on a wet day trying to get in and put her back to square one. Will suss out bunnings in the next week or so, whenever I can get time.

Gonna be good going out and not having banana steps for a change!

The unpacking:

Now just need to try find time to get out again and test these bad boyds out. This month's been bloody crazy.

Jay

mylux, you won't be disappointed with Dominators, still stoked with the quality.

Sliders look good, Jay.

Just yesterday I bought some antislip tape from bunnings to go along the top of mine. I think it was $9 for a 2 metre roll of 25mm wide tape, havent put it on yet though.

That's cheaper than I thought, thanks. Still trying to find time to nick down and grab some.

Hopefully this weekend. Got a new turbo timer coming too, so going to try hook that up.

Jay
