My first Hilux

Postby bogged tom on Mon, 17 Sep 2012 11:15 +0000

I needed a car more suited to towing and off roading than my Outback, and being a mechanic a Hilux was a pretty obvious choice.
What i got was a stock 06 SR 4D4, ex lease carting small machinery. Very nice and well looked after throughout except inside the tub is pretty dinged up but i'm not worried about that.

After 3 weeks it looks like this now, i've done the back seat mod, and about to do the water buzzer and auto lights off.
3/2" lift will happen soon and flares.

Lift, more tint for canopy, bigger tyres, lockers of some sort, so far all of Steve's modds, and even though it was well maintained it will get better maintanance, sand, dirt, mud, rocks....
