Thanks mate :) they've turned out well but damn they took some time to make.
Hot tip: don't get too cocky with the clearance to the bottom of the sill. I got mine down to a couple of mm but I never even thought about the fact that the body is on rubber mounts. I've got one that's a bit close so over bumps the body moves and contacts the slider :P

The dimensions for the U brackets depend on where you mount them. The shape of the chassis rail changes over the length of it. The rear ones are a bit easier because the section is square so there about 90mm wide. I used a sliding square to get the height for each one.

They're pretty heavy and hard to work with without help. I weighed mine before I put the brackets and arms on so just the slider frame itself was 22.4kg each. I'm guessing they're just over 25kg a side.

Haha just dont do what i did and do them on unlevel ground, I used car stands to position them and clamped them to the stands then made the clamps and outriggers to suit. One side is 20mm lower than the other

Dan when you put your front mount on do another 'U' type clamp, Ive made a set of sliders before using the transfer crossmember bolts and my second set i did 3 'U' clamps in stead. Its much stronger this way in my opinion.

Onya mate, Haha! Thanks for the tip too. I was planning to use the crossmember bolts. Well, a longer version anyway. Might have to look into a third U clamp.

What about a stubby U clamp that basically cupped the crossmember so there was attaching points both sides?

Nice sliders! I reckon the notcher will work a lot better on a drill press. I did it without the notcher stand and just a hole saw on the press and it worked well, not as neat as your notches though.
The front mount is a bit trickier because the chassis rail starts to fatten out so you've gotta angle the mount

Wanted to have a go at putting it all in myself in keeping with my 'built, not just bought' philosophy but, I chickened out thought getting professional help would be wise.

It goes in on Thursday so I'll post up more over the weekend :)

Got the kit last week from Matty, thanks mate :) and then got onto Ryano at fourbys in Brisbane for a quote on the install.
After some quick negotiating I was booked in for the rekon kit install and a set of piraña diff breathers. Ryano even picked up my car and brought it back that night! There had to be some perk to living in Ipswich lol

Over the last four days of driving, mostly in the rain, I can say that the balance of the car is much better. I haven't played with the settings yet but it feels a little firmer but a hell of a lot more composed and refined. Just like you'd expect from a high end suspension set up. Most surprising thing is how much better the rear end grips in the wet. I haven't been able to stab it and make it step out like it used to.
The lads crushed the body mount in a little to get more clearance at full lock but I'm still hitting it. That was one problem I hoped the stage II kit would fix. Apparently I'm running a lot of castor at just over 2" lift and it'll be better when I raise it some more but that'll have to wait till I get the rear leafs sorted. I'm still running standard ones ATM.
I took it out for a play in the mud on Sunday and the performance offroad is very good. It's flexing up nicely but I'll let the photos do the talking there.

I'm hanging out for the extended top leafs that are still in development. Once they are available, up she goes again! 8-)

Hey Bud, yeah I only mentioned it in the first big post of my thread. I did the usual 33" tyre fitment trimming. Check out page 25 viewtopic.php?f=27&t=3538&start=480 for my post when I fitted them and the rest of it is in there before that. ;)
