However, in saying that I now have so much room, I'm finding that I actually go looking for stuff to put in to fill the space..

I found the same with mine... I ended up using empty Milk crates to stop stuff sliding around everywhere.

Yep. I'm thinking about cutting and shutting my canopy so I've got some tray space. I've got those ARB tie down rails in mine. They are the best for securing plastic tubs etc.

Cheers,

Chris.

Off for some long awaited surgery.
New lift and clutch.
Despite my efforts to kill the clutch she's held in for 150000ks now. Figured Id get it replaced so it doesn't let me down out in the scrub.

Looking forward to the freshen up.

Thanks Ross. Will do the reveal tomorrow when there is good light.
Well what a dramatic difference, the car feels fantastic. It doesn't feel like a boat and tracks nicely around corners.
Here is all the old suspension components including the clutch.
Image
Well after 3 embarrassing attempts to get leave the Ultimate workshop (stalled it three times) infront of everyone as I wasn't used to the new clutch.
Very positive in engagement and feels great.
Ultimate do a very comprehensive tests on the vehicle to fit the right suspension tuned to your individual requirements.
Here is the report of the old suspension.
Image
As you can see its shot, the rear left had no rebound dampening left at all. The rest is fairly marginal.
One of the features I do like is the design of the bottom of the strut. This is the original aftermarket suspension component.
Image
And this is Ultimates design on the bottom of the strut. Much more robust and also the wall thickness of the bush area is thicker and machined off centre so it doesn't bind on the bottom of the LCA.

A big thankyou to Brendan, Lachlan, Jack, Peter and all the crew at Ultimate Suspension for fantastic professional service.
Cheers Mark

same, and mine is only 1750x1700x850. If I was to do it again, I'd cut down to 1650 square w/ same hight.

Next update. We will call it 1.3.
Electrical upgrades...
Been running around for about 12months with no alternator feed to the 3rd battery in the canopy and relying upon a AC/DC 20 amp charger to (when I remember) charge the battery. Its been quite frequent of late to see 9.6 volts on the display panel in the canopy and a warm fridge.
Just purchased a D250S Ctek charger. I do plan on mounting it in this polycarbonate box on the back of the kitchen wall.
http://docs-asia.electrocomponents.com/ ... 38db9d.pdf
I've also been trying to chase down a local supplier of this Maxi fuse distribution block from EFX.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/efx-maxi-fu ... Id=3921924
Ive been running a Jaycar 60 amp double breaker and have now had 2 failures on the top breaker.
I want to go back to fuses, Maxis and not CB's. If anyone knows a supplier that can deliver the EFX or similar please let me know

The ctek charger mounted into the IP56 polycarbonate box. Will be using glands to hold the wiring in place and hopefully neaten the job up a bit.
Image
I've been having a lot of trouble using Circuit Breakers from Jaycar, I've had two fail already on the top breaker which is what I use to fuse the charge current and potiential battery current if I get a short circuit on the charge circuit.
Managed to find a very similar unit that uses Maxi Fuses and will give a similar wiring configuration as the existing setup.
and two extra fused ports.
Image
Its coming in from the states and have to wait a week or so to get it...
Here is the CB configuration from Jaycar that need replacement.

Hey Skog,
You'll love the Ctek, chuck on a solar panel and no more warm beer.........I've been having a problem with the Jaycar circuit breakers as well, throwing out inside the unit but the lever is still in its engaged position......
battery is not charging but fortunately the Ctek will show you this on its led display... :D

Mine was doing the same, it would internally open circuit but the switch would remain in the closed position. Was like it had an internal fault and a bad connection.
Thanks Craig, was trying to find something with a similar wiring footprint to my current setup so I don't have to re route wiring etc. Ive got a Jaycar 100 amp jumbo fuse underneath the bonnet however I do like that fuse setup.
Cheers
