Thanks
Ash

G'day mate my compressor is a bushranger with the base plate on it all I have done is drill a hole in it and bolt it down through one of the child seat anchor points I will get a photo up but it's not to technical at all.
I like having the roof rack on the hard lid the main reason is to carry my recovery gear, maxx tracks and swag I was sick of getting mud and crap over all the gear in the tub and didn't want them on the roof as I have lights on the sports bar. I'm trying to come up with a way to make them a bit more sturdy to carry a bit more weight if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks heaps mate, sounds nice and simple!

Yep very simple mate and then a small lenght of air Line that just reaches out the door so you don't have to plug into the compressor itself every time

Thanks mate I hope to get my sliders finished in the next couple of weeks and have asked Santa / the wife for some 33s for Chrissy fingers crossed. She already complains every time she climbs in but it has to be done I think it looks a little silly with 31s

Perhaps when the sliders are made you can get a step ladder that hangs off of them

Haha I have thought about a hydraulic step I have seen one on a f250 activated when the door opens and folds out from underneath. But nah she can just suck it up its not that high compared to some.

Looking at building a custom roof rack and I after some advise or pictures of how others are attached to the roof I am hoping to get it mounted as low as possible.
I was also thinking of mounting it just on the sports bar this would be my preferred option but would probably have to be pretty solid. And may not work unless I have it quite short in length.
Any tips
Cheers.

Hey mate,
Your up late!

I seen that a bloke got the straight side of the 05-10 roll bars and mounted it to the back of his tub, and then had a rack that was mounted on both these and come to about halfway along his dualcab roof...

Perhaps this could be an option for you :)
