G'day all just finished changing all my suspention over thought I would start a build thread for anyone interested.
This is the Rancho add a leaf 3rd from the bottom very easy to install and a cheap way of getting that extra bit of lift.
Along with the Rancho rs 5000 shocks there is much less body roll and obviously feels so much better than the stock setup.

Before the add a leaf

After add a leaf

The front end with the lovells springs I do not rate them at all as they had sagged within a couple of months
I know most are not fans of the ironman gear but I thought I would give them a chance and I managed to get them for a good price. It's only been a day since I put all of this in but I am happy so far.

And after with the ironman gear.

I will put up some more from a distance tomorrow but I now have 3" in the front and 2" in the rear.

And some of my other mods you may have seen earlier

Next up some bigger tyres and at least one locker. Probably in the front first.

I have retro fitted my roof rack to fit my hard lid i was not to keen on it on the roof just a temporary thing until I have some coin for a canopy.

The only thing that ever goes on there is the maxx tracks swag
It's not for everyone I know but should work well

Hey mate, that second last photo there is an air filter in the top right corner. Is that a diff breather?

IF it is a diff brether and If its for the rear diff you may want to test it, I had one the exact same and it didn't do anything apart from stuffing air flow to the rear diff locker. I ended up coiling the breath hose and stuffing it high between the canopy and rear window. Anyways if it isn't for a diff breather then I just babbled crap for about 2 mins   .

Btw check my website about front locker vs rear locker it may help you make up you mind.

looking good mate, i like the net behind the seat ;)

What rate Lovells did you have? and how long where they in? I have heard OK things about ironman suspension.

Cheers for the link.

Only problem with paper type breathers is if they get wet they clog up and cease to breath.

The lovells were heavy duty with a contant load rating to alow for the roo bar I have forgotten the part number but they were only in for 3 months and didn't hold up at all. A mate of mine has the same setup I had with lovells and has the same problems and it's only been in for 2 months.
I hope to get out for a drive later but so far the ironman in the front end is working well and I am happy and also the price $590 for the springs and struts lots of people say you get what you pay for but I am happy to give them a chance / test.

I like the sound of your suspension setup, does it get rid of the nose dive look with a steel bull bar? Could you post up a pic from the side?
Cheers, jimmy

I think I may order the add a leaf this week. I just hope the ride won't be too stiff as I will rarely carry much load, probably just the dirtbike and camping gear every now and then. Will this be fine with a 2 inch tough dog lift in the front?

I find the ride just fine mate no worse than stock and less body roll with your lift will be fine I already had 2 inch lift in the front before doing the add a lift and it raised the rear about 50mm

Hey mate, nice build, I like the look of the roof rack on the hard lid, I don't think I've ever seen that before! Any chance of a photo of how you've mounted your compressor behind the rear seat? I want to do the same but I'm not sure on how to fix it to the floor/back wall.

Thanks
Ash

G'day mate my compressor is a bushranger with the base plate on it all I have done is drill a hole in it and bolt it down through one of the child seat anchor points I will get a photo up but it's not to technical at all.
I like having the roof rack on the hard lid the main reason is to carry my recovery gear, maxx tracks and swag I was sick of getting mud and crap over all the gear in the tub and didn't want them on the roof as I have lights on the sports bar. I'm trying to come up with a way to make them a bit more sturdy to carry a bit more weight if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks mate I hope to get my sliders finished in the next couple of weeks and have asked Santa / the wife for some 33s for Chrissy fingers crossed. She already complains every time she climbs in but it has to be done I think it looks a little silly with 31s
