Had a quiet weekend so thought I would have my first attempt at some drawers.
Very basic drawers are 1m long and I was planning to put my water tank at the front of the tub but have instead put a lift up lid this will be used for all the gear I never realy use and probably
A water tank , inverter , and compressor.

Got some new tyres fitted last week faulken wild peak in a 32/11.5 15 no complaints so far in the wet they are awesome and surprisingly quieter than my last ats. Still have to check my speedo against my gps but I don't think it's out by much.heading for the hills tomorrow to see how they go off road after all the rain in perth should be a good day.

G'day mate I used 4 of the led strip lights from eBay with the adhesive backing on them cost me $10 have a look at rocket55 build I borrowed his idea and wireing diagram he has more details on how to go about it they are constantly powered and earthed at the door button for the interior light so they come on when the doors open.
One of the best mods I have done so far as they put out a heap of light.

Cheers jamie

Thanks mate have changed a couple of things like got rid of the roof tray but still so much to do and so little time. Waiting on some more lights for up top and it's time for at least one locker. Yours is looking real good mate but you do have the best colour getting around.

Getting around perth I can't fit in any car parks so it's gone. I didn't like the idea of taking it on and off so will work on another setup probably above the canopy. But that's after I build sliders save for a locker and long range tank.
I have soooo much more to do

Very keen mate I get up to kalbarri a bit because I have family up there but would love to tag along all depends
When because my wife is not far off having our next sprocket so that's me stuck for a couple of months.
But it will give me time to get a few things I need sooner like sliders and a locker.

Fitted up some monster rides sway bar links last night and went for a quick test and can't believe the difference
Only hear them now and then when they are locked on the road.
Off road yes you can hear them but that's to be expected.
I have been contemplating cutting up my ironman bar removing everything in front of the lights and grill has anyone modded a bar themselves and have any pics to share.

10 luxxxx wrote:So I just picked up a water tank and looking at securing it in the tub as shown in the picture I was thinking about riveting a couple of tie down brackets on the front part of the tub and then use ratchets I will then build a wooden panel that covers the box and pump / fittings from any other gear in the tub.
Any other ideas for securing this sort of tank or recommendation other than rivets for the tie downs.
Cheers.

Hey mate I got the 82l tank same as this for Chrissy .. What sort of pump did you end up getting and how did you plum it?
I used mine camping on Fraser using a clear hose through the middle outlet just pushed it I and a hand syphon .. It worked I manage to empty the tank completely but it meant I always had to park so it was higher for ease of flow.. It got a little annoying so I'd like to get a 12v pump for it
