When you light up the ASFIR logo, are you going to paint all the bottom section black also?

I'm not sure? Someone on a UK Hilux forum www.hpoc.co.uk photoshopped it black and it looked a bit like the bow of a boat! We'll see nearer the time!

I thought that they were Jungle fender flares. They sure look the same; http://www.junglefenderflares.com/2005-toyota-hilux-pocket-style-fender-flares-p-38.html
More pics here; http://www.junglefenderflares.com/news/general-updates/bigger-2005-toyota-hilux-mk6-fender-flares
So how hard were they to install? And, do you have a link for the Harley site for the spikes?

Finished my roof rack and installed the light bars:

In answer to the above - the flares were a bit of a bitch to fit and none of the bolt holes lined up with the holes on my truck. Also I had to do a lot of trimming to make them fit correctly.
With regards to the spikes, I got them from this guy in America which gave him the idea to advertise them as fender flare bolts and not just Harley Davidson accent spikes - you can see my truck in his images: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CHROME-SPIKES ... 5aea031d05

I see that the Jungle fender flares (linked earlier) are actually made for the 2 door model. Was that the case with yours too? You said that trimming was definitely required, but was the forward part of the rear flares particularly bad possibly due to them being made for the 2 door? Obviously the 2 door rear flares would come too far forward and partially bridge the gap between the cab and tray of the truck?

Thanks again for the info and wicked job! The way those flares turned out, I wouldn't mind doing some trimming!

Yes mine were advertised as being for a 2 door Hilux. This isn't a problem, there was no interference with the part you are talking about. The trimming was mainly along the top lip (the bit you slide the rubber onto), as the flares are a mould from a mould from a mould they have obviously lost a bit of their accuracy with the shape of the trucks body so to avoid any tight spots or tiny gaps I just trimmed the whole top edge so it fitted perfectly.
Good luck!

nice to see someone on the other side of the globe thinking alike. This is as close to the concept for the buildup i had in mind for mine, now that the 'boss' can see the finished product i've been given the nod(once i sell one of my other toys). look for a PM around easter when i begin my build, nice to swap a few ideas! :D
(in your concept pics you had what looked like the mcc rear bar, i was going to mod one for mine. did you try it at all? why/not?)
