Sooooooo..... Im doing something which consists of
- 2009 dual cab hilux body
- 80 series chassis
- ls v8 5.7L supercharged or 6.6L supercharged, 6.6 if funds are available
- patrol 5 speed and transfer

This build will be pretty slow as i dont have alot of time in a week but i got some parts and in the next 3weeks i hope to have the 80 chassis extended

Git err dun Barts.
Parts of Gary's old build are being utilised for this one. Image The rest is gathering dust in a blackhole.

Guards, Bonnet, Grill and Headlights. Probably a few other bits and pieces out of the pile, plastics and the like.
I've got Gary's old single cab and 1/2 80 Chassis at my place = black hole.
Drivetrain went elsewhere and isn't what I was referencing.

After picking the chassis up yesterday morning with him, Its going to be awesome getting back into Bartso's shed and playing cars again..

Is this going to be a comp truck or street regoed?

I know Gary was toying with 37" treps but they were getting very close to the front inner fender panel.

Anyway, heres a couple of pics from his build thread I thought might help you out....

Custom bodymount to suit hilux body to landcruiser chassis -
Image

Image

Some profile shots to get you revved up and motivated -
Image

For reference, Gary says roof height is 2m in pic below.....and that he could go lower springs -
Image

Clearance issue with radiator support panel....may need some grinder lovin -
Image

No springs and sitting on the bump stops -
Image

Hope that helps a little...rest of his build is here in case you wanna have a read, may help with some areas.....then again it may not -

This vehicle is going to be my every day driver so I will keep it all as legal as possible, the only thing not legal about it will be the 35" tyres,
My new body mounts have to be as stock as possible design wise so the way Gary did his wont work with my engineer
This build will be as low as possible while being able to clear 35's which I believe won't be hard to do
