cheers mate. it was a good trip, but I still wish I had the time to also do the Hay River track with the other friends that were on the trip

btw, having a copper as "tour leader" was pretty good. we camped in police yards, used their showers and topped up water from their tanks

Great stuff Packets, good to see dads out there giving their kids positive memories of this great land that they will carry with them throughout the rest of their lives.

oooh, ninja edit :)

I have Bud's dimple die sliders. they've been really good, even stopping a big stake from going through my door (bent the top plate!).

I could do with some mudguards tho (removed for 33's)

the snakes were numbed by cold, so barely moved. iirc they're an Aussie green tree python. non poisonous, non aggressive. the bloke had other more deadly snakes which we had a view of (behind glass), and lots of live mice for feeding

Yeah they're awesome snakes, I was going to get one a few years back, but the green tree pythons were a bit out of the budget. The teeth on those are quite cool, you'll have to google 'em. It's like a row of curved needles.

Sorry, I'm hijacking your thread...

Jay

not to bad on the street, just have to drive smoothly and stay off the throttle when going round corners.

How do you find it with the vsc and tc?

yeah, no problems at all.

I just have to remember to disable it when I want to do silly stuff like donuts in the dirt or getting sideways in the wet

Something I will have to look at I think, not liking the open diff, makes it hard when flexed up trying to park at work on firm sand and it digs a hole.
Better then a locker? Air/electronic

the Yukon Grizzly is a great budget option, only cost me $1050 installed

I dont like air; elockers are the best, but they're not cheap.
