I'm going to try blacking out the top half inch of the headlight to minimise stray light

The only way around that really is to aim the beams quite low. Unfortunately with standard lenses the light from HIDs gets thrown around all over the place. I had the same problem until I fit the DEPO lenses with projector beams. HIDs in them and I have them aimed where they should be and never been flashed once.

Looking good mate. What are the future plans? Did you paint the Long ranger or did it come painted?

Cheers,

Chris.

unfortunately, it wasn't installed till after Mt Walker. I'm planning a quick day out on Sat (11th) to test it.
cost was $1100 installed (including a new set of bearings)

started installing my Bud's Customs sliders and underbody armour recently.

the sliders were painful to bolt up and they're not quite symmetrical on the vehicle, but overall they look good

will post pics soonish

also, I recently replaced my HIDs with Phillps Crystal Vision halogens. Very nice globe, and almost as bright as the HID's. Much happier with the light spill/shape

Now I just wish the auto-sparky hadn't done such a crap job on the install. Coz I have some wiring to fix before I can get my air horn and lightbar to work
