So i figured it was time to get my ass in gear and get a build thread going.


08 diesel xrta cab manual, i picked up for $31,000 with 33000 kms on it.
It came with a

-gal steel tray,
- genuine alloy bullbar
-air bag suspension in the rear.

Since i have had it,

- 2 inch lift from ultimate suspension
- 31inch 10.5 inch desert duelers
- 16 x 8 inch black KING Terra rims
- Sprintbooster
- Bluetooth
- Uni filter

I got the sprint booster from the ultimate suspension.
I honestly am not a huge fan of the sprint booster. What they say it does, is give you a better acceleration, but it doesn't give you anymore horses.
To me it just seems like the distance of you pedal travel is reduced.
So the car thinks you pedal is flat, when it is only in the first half of it travel, when it gets to the second half of the travel nothing happens.
Seems like a bit of a gimmick to me but ohwell
You live and learn I guess.
There is heaps of talk on this forum just have a quick search and you will be able to find pages of info on it and heaps of people that will vouch for it being the best thing they have bought


Now with the suspension ,I spent a fair bit of time doing homework on places and I'm really happy that I got ultimate to do it.
It doesn't steer like a boat anymore, they have heaps of knowledge on suspension , they were three hundred bucks cheaper then arb who wouldn't promise a full2 inch lift And they were really quick dropped it in a lunch time one day picked it up lunch time the next.
Truly can not fault the suspension in anyway shape or form!

Yeah, the dope originally wanted 35 500 and he screwed me around a fair bit by not showing up when he said he would, i mean i waited at the guys house for over an hour,
He was a real f$@#&% to be honest, really rude so i didnt feel bad about ripping him off haha
he wanted cash and said i only had 31 000 cash at home, which was true.
he wanted it gone that week so i helped him out

i have been thinking about it for mine but im not sure, people seem to have mixed feelings about them.

ah the extra cabs are great. im sure that you will enjoy the lux very much. Great to hear that you got it for a bargin too. It just shows that if you do some searching and bargining then they aren't that hard to get at a great price

Yeah mate did it myself, it's not in anymore though

Alot of people like them and some don't, to be honest after having it in mine, I loved it at the time for extra height and looked great, but than i started wheeling mine a fair bit more, the only reason I'd fit one again i's to run 35's or bigger! If you use you'r truck alot try and keep you'r centre of gravity lower.
But yeah if you end up going down the track of the body lift, give it a crack, it's not hard to do! You'll smash it out in a day

yeah wasnt a big difference with body roll but decided i didnt want it that high anymore, i did my lux up origanly just for looks, but soon found that i wanted to pull the second lever in the centre a little more lol so i decided i wanted the BL out and run bigger tyres with cutting! keep the weight down lower!!

if you plan on running 33's, i wouldnt worry about the BL in my opinion! 3" lift and 33's is ideal setup for the lux any taller you may aswell run 35's

ultimate only do a 2 inch before its gets way out of the price that i set aside for suspension.
im running 31s atm but when this rubber is worn, i wouldnt mind going bigger, so maybe just an inch and a half body lift to bring me up abit over 3 inches.
