I know exactly where you are talking about haha. Used to go there once a week or so for the hell of it. Annoying how they blocked it at the top so you get there and have no where to go. Least they could have done was put it at the bottom.

I dunno why they did it though. The locals used to come outside with their kids and watch me and my mate drive through the mud down the otherside of the hill. They were all nice people and never once told/asked us to leave.

Can u still go around that hill and come out the back of the estate and follow around to the power lines tower or is it all blocked off?? I got stuck out back there few years back and a guy wanted the help but asked if I rode a moto through there and if so was calling the cops

You can, there are 4 entrances all up that I know of. Theres the main 1 for the Telstra/Energex guys to get in which is obviously open, but they blocked off the trail that leads up the hill, although last time I went it looked like somebody had tried to make a new path and failed, I don't know if they have succeeded yet. There are 2 entrances further up the road past that, 1 of them is pretty eroded and I think pretty much impossible without lockers but I havn't tried it. The other 1 used to be fun but they smoothed it all out in order to get a truck up there to put some big ass rocks in the way  And the final 1 is around the other side, through CoC then take a right at the round about and I think they are building a new road but they have water bollards in the way, could probably move them if you really wanted.

I've just not bothered going there and go out the back of Chandler/Belmont via an entrance somebody told me about just off Mt Gravatt-Capalaba road. It's bigger and better anyway. If you or Julz want to know where it is, just hit me up and I'll take you there sometime.

EDIT: You can still get to the powerlines down the bottom of the hill though and then go around under the bridge, but there is no where to go after that.

Sliders look sweet mate. A bit different to what you normally see around which is good.

I'm not sure to be honest. I've contemplated trying it. If you do though, make sure you walk up first to see if there is anywhere to go once you get up there. Coz I know to the left of that is a HUGE ledge which has been all rutted and washed out. Not sure about the right hand side. My mate was saying yesterday that there is another entrance around the side but it's hard to find coz you have to go through all the backstreets. I'm gonna go have a look in the next few days coz i've got a 4 day weekend :D

out along mt gravatt-capalaba road towards viccy point. turn left at the first round about just after the 7/11 and then take the first left after the round about. can't remember the name of the road, starts with P. about 500m down the road on the left. the actual track is pretty far up the powerline track. there is an 80km/h speed limit sign at the top of the hill, then drive down the hill and it's on your right hand side. there is a house there but i've seen people there and they just waved.

Also, it's tempting to get a bit of speed up, but be careful because there are a couple of little washouts that are hard to see.

havnt done much to the lux lately been real busy at work. the sliders still arnt finish either, just have to put the tube on and galv and paint them. probably wont be for a lil while yet though. :(

the other week i had half a day off so i made my own custom subwoofer box to fit in the back foot well and carpeted it all myself. then i went to autobarn and bought myself a alpine sws-1223D 12" subwoofer with a clarion 4 channel high output amp and did the install myself. i didnt want to get rid of the genuine sat nav so i bought rca converters and set it up that way. at the moment ive got the bass set at just under a quarter of the max and holly shit it pumps hard. i cant actually see out of my rear view mirror now when i play music. ohh well heres a few pics.

also finaly took the uhf out of the work ute and installed it in mine. its a uniden unit. not sure what one but it does the job. and with it i bought a gme heavy duty aerial and mounted it on the bullbar. ive mounted the uhf just on the side of the centre console, didnt know where else to put it but i think its fine where it is.

and my favourite addition so far is this lil girl...

Good luck mate. I've got a purebred lab too. Except he's gold. Dumbest creature I have ever met in my life. I wouldn't trade the world for him though :D
