I thought I'd finally start putting together a build thread, started with the stock 2011 sr5 hilux, hard tonneau cover, tub liner.

Now I have the 2inch lift through Old Man Emu Suspension and had Cooper S/T Maxx Tyres fitted a couple of days ago. Will have a GME 3540 cb fitted tomorrow and have ordered a Sahara bar to be fitted in 2 weeks

Also had an ARB Compressor installed several weeks ago which is yet to be tested! If anyone is keen for a 4wd in Perth let me know

Looks good mate, can you give us a little feedback on the new GME when you get it. I'm currently looking at the same one but interested to hear you opinion on the ability to hide the unit.

white_hilux - other than the Sahara bar and Lightforce HID spotties that are being fitted in 2 weeks, I think i'll get a Safari snorkel and roof racks in the near future aswell.
ShotLux - the GME 3540 seems great so far, I doubt I will ever use some of the features on it but having the controls on the handpiece and the unit tucked up under the dash is great. The wire is running out from behind the dash and I also had an external speaker installed up under the driver footwell aswell because I was worried about struggling to hear the cb as the speaker is on the unit under the dash.
Mattya - I got the tyres from 'Tyre Power' in rockingham. I got the 265/70/ R17 (32'')They do rub a little occasionally, but as soon as I get my bullbar the rubbing should be eliminated.

Mason85 - im definately keen to get out 4wding, just dont know where! Went down to Tims Thicket just south of mandurah on the weekend, but i wouldn't say its worth the drive if I weren't planning on fishing. We then ended up down Preston Beach which was a nice open beach drive, but not too interesting.
I found Wilbinga was great, plenty of tracks and good camping, as Im sure everyone already knows!

yeah wilbinga is bout 20 mins from my place, head up there quite often, good camping and fishing spots too, havent done much down south, done the powerlines up in the hills a couple of times but without a lift they scrape and bash on pretty much everything up there

Il be pickin my new lux up on the 17th. I'm in mandurah. We should do a trip south some time. I'm also up for drinking beer at any time haha

Mattya- I'm heading back to work on the 13th unfortunately and won't be back until around the 17th November. Definitely keen for some 4wding when I get back. And a few beers would top it all off perfectly
