It's been a little while but here's a bit of an update...

The big girl has undergone a fair few mods since I last updated with a list of never ending engine problems, that's all sweet now thank Christ.. After that episode the front diff was removed and repaired because it was playing up like a second hand lawn mower, installed diff, gearbox and transfer case breathers, knocked up some sideboards, had a canvas canopy built, made a false floor to suit the canopy, fitted an Arb awning + fire extinguisher and some other miscellaneous gear, fitted some 265/75 MTZ's, Longrange fuel tank and other shit I can't think of for the life of me... I'm currently in weipa with a couple of mates on our way to cape york and having an absolute blast.. Here's some photos of the ute progress and some front the trip so far..

Hey man. Nice looking ute. Just curious as to how you go with dust inside the canopy? Do you get any/much in there?

Thanks bud, I haven't had alot of dust in the canopy itself but under the false floor there is a bit, I actually pulled out the tubs under the floor this morning and have everything a once over and any surplus dust that had made its way up into the canopy area itself.. I was talking to a guy before I left home and he recommended having a couple of flaps at the front to pressurise the canopy so dust can not force it's way in. Definitely something ill look at when I get home, but that's not for another 5 and a half weeks lol

Mate so envious of ur canopy set up!! Pretty well exactly wat I want! Can I ask wat the canvas set u back? And the cost of the steel? (Pm me if u like) and also wats the measurement between top of false floor to canopy ceiling? Does it feel too chlostrophobic? Sorry to bombard u but got so many unanswered queeries! :D

there's some room beside the computer. there might be a pic in my build

alternatively, there's heaps of room above the drivers footwell
