mate if you wanna do a bit of offroading i would strongly suggest getting sunnies! they just work soo well...and theyre cheap if your runnig low pressure and ding them, or as you said, if you scratch them its no big deal

I hear what ya sayin Dan... I had sunnies on my last hilux and never had a drama with them I think I was just lookin for the bling factor :p plus there only half the price of alloys and if i don't like I can always change them out... Option options options lol

Yeh Kirk I am now running a set of MIckey Thompson Side Bitters they look great but in 2 trips out Ive grounded the paint of a couple of them, only the size of a 10c peice but noticable.
If or when I do it again Id go the steel a lot cheaper hard to argue with. In saying that a lot of off roading I do is on rock so if your just doing Stockton mainly go the alloys.

Re: BAT091 LUX - Led worklight n a few pics

Postby BAT091 on Sun, 25 Sep 2011 6:47 +0000

Couple of things happened over the past week..

Fitted a l.e.d reverse light next to my number plate using the the old switch that use to power the lights under my rollbar, removed the dogs*#t sidesteps and changed out the 1.5" leaf blocks to 1" to compensate the springs settling...

Also a pic next to the stock nav at work, next to the inlaws new lux n before headin off last weekend up the myall lakes...

Should also mention had probably one of the scariest moments up the beach at myall lakes a few weeks ago.. Driving along the beach and hit a soft spot and sunk the big girl to the sills, soon enough the water was lappin under the car n I was carrot close to makin that dreaded phone call to the insurance company.. But we dug like crazy n used logs as maxi tracks n luckily enough I was out.. Pretty scary
