Missus went to a baby shower today so I spent the day workin on the lux...

Wired in the lightbar to a switch and also fitted a switch for my driving lights...
I was running out of room for switches and was about to order a 6 - panel switch housing as hamoyz and white_hilux have used in there builds but had a second thought, did some shuffling of switches and came up with this

Image

Image

Panel now houses cig plug from 2nd battery... Switches for compressor, driving lights, light bar, work lights, UHF and cig plug from vehicle acc...

Image

Went into super cheap and seen they had carpeted 6.5" speaker spacers on the shelf so I grabbed a set for about 11 bux and fitted my Rockford fosgate speakers I had... Shits over standard

Another photo of the light bar mounted up, hopefully go for a drive tonight and see what this bad boy can do

I have just read all 7 pages of your build up... F^@kin awesome work mate.

regarding your 35w HID's: What did you go with? And Which LED bar did you get? I'm looking at the vision x 12" bar to fit in to the cosmetic roll bar to have as rear flood / tray lights.

I've started changing out my lighting and would like a heads up on what (or what not) to get. :)

Cheers fellas...

Funny you ask about lights because I was just down the road taking photos with high beam then high beam and spotties then high beam spotties and lightbar which I'll throw up in a minute...

The 35w hid kit I can't remember what brand it is but I bought it off eBay a few year ago ( had it in previous hilux ) and his username was 95soarer if he is still on there, a few of us from work did a bulk order and haven't had a drama with any of the gear... As for the light bar i bought it second hand off a newhilux member ( jpathy ) it is a 20" or 22" bar and for the life of me cannot remember what the brand is, I'll get back to you on that one lol

I don't think you will go wrong with a visionx light bar we sell a lot of there gear through work and it's all pretty good stuff...

they are some good pictures you have there mate, you can really see the difference between the 3 shots by the tree on the left.

You been up the Barrington Tops before? I had a poke up there over this last week. Started down at southern end/Dungog end and worked up to the top part, and come down into back of aberdeen then down to singleton. theres a few testing tracks if you look hard enough- kept me occupied!

I ended up getting the 12" Red dog LED bar ($350) as a rear flood to be mounted under the chrome roll bar. Started installing it this arvo. Waited till dark and tried it out.... Great spread of white light.
