Went for a quick run today with a mate in his 60 cruiser, all was good till he got stuck in a mud pit and I attempted to snatch him out.. Snatch strap broke and bye bye back window... Glass absolutely farkin everywhere... I've had that snatch strap for 4 years now n never missed a beat.... Until now

Lucky no one was hurt Kirk, that why you should use a damper with a snatch strap as well

I guess that's why they recommend only 20 snatches per strap..

Thanks boys yea I was pretty lucky just a bit of glass in the back of the neck... As for him payin a bit I ain't real concerned these things happen I dont see it as his fault we were both out havin a bit of fun, it's a part of 4 wheelin.... as for the mesh the tray isn't completely finished and it was yet to come unfortunately this happened before I did that.... Anyone know what a rear window is worth ??

I wouldnt think it would be too dear, We have windscreens go atleast once every two months and the place we use has got the price down to nearly 200 installed for a windscreen so i couldnt see a rear being much more

I know a guy who did the back windscreen of his xr6 ute and it cost him an arm and a leg to get fixed. He lives out west though and he had to wait a week for them to get the proper glass in or something as well.

The rear glass you would think would be much cheaper as its not tempered? glass like the front windscreen. The back windows dont have any special laminating on them which is why they shatter so much.

Hope so man... Wouldn't surprise me if they charged an arm n a leg just for the defog haha

Ba/bf falcon rear window glass is $2000 because it has an aerial in it too.... Be glad the hilux doesn't have the same problem.

I smashed my rear window on my canopy. NRMA covered it free of charge as I get covered for 1 free windscreen per year.

Made a phone call to o'briens windows this morning $1350 for a new rear window... Rang a local fella in town an I was quoted $374 fitted :D go figure on obriens mark up. Gotta get then dint above the window fixed now :(
