I forgot to give the pins on the weekend

The real question is whose legs does he keep in the RTT?

Looks good mate! Bit too clean for you though!

ScotsMan wrote:Looking good mate , you don't think the under tray boxes will cop a bit of a beating ??

I have the haymen Reece towbar so it a much closer fit to those boxes than the Toyo one. I have a few dings in the bottom of each box but only one has a good one the causes the door to scrape and that was from resting the ute on it on Butcher country track. Also bent the hinges on side of the tray I had it that upright. Much much stronger than the look. Expensive but worth it. They do get a little musky in the wet season though and need airing on a sunny day if you store as many ropes and tie downs in theme as I do.

After the requests for info around the Jack Off I've spoken to the local fabricater and he's ok for me to add his details here.

Do not ring him to shoot the shit, he's a small business and has no time for tyre kickers. Price is really upon agreed design. Each will be diferent. For example, I asked for strong doors that dont flex, my rear tyre carrier is as per my design, I left it empty inside minus 1 upright in the middle (he didnt think I need it and he was most likely right but I feel a better knowing its there.).

Still havent had a chance to measure it, to many things keep popping up, working away, beer, working at home, beer, home brewing, beer, RC Car bashing, you get the drift. Besides, it was made to match my tray that was also custom.

Highly recommend this guy but as mentioned dont F' him around.

Nah, I have a sheet of ally checker plate along there. That way I can walk along it to setup/packup tent, store extra fuel, keep firewood (actually can hold quite a bit of wood there I found out) etc... Also tent needs room fo rthe windows etc which miss by around 20mm when errected.

What if you put the tent on perpendicular to the car.. You won't be able to open one side of the canopy properly when the tent is up, but you will have permanent storage space between the tent and the cab..

I figured shit that goes up there is temporary or can be restacked once tent is up. Im a smoker so sticking my head out inbetween fual tanks for morning smoko doesnt seem like a good idea... But yes I could do it this way. I'd loose the doors though which are a handy shade themselves.

Looking to run a c channel along the roof on either side to slip a tarp or the like into and then run to poles for a more permenant awning. That way they can be more a V shape if that makes sense.
