Looks the goods.
Now why couldn't they have built an extra cab as well?

why couldnt have they offered the supercharged engine on an SR hilux, no matter what body shape?

I might have been swayed to get it then?

The 4000s is the SR

Took myn in the dunes this arvo im impressed, even with the standard 265 tyres and 36psi, didnt even need to let them down. Average around town has gone 9.3 litres per 100, couldnt be happier

Yeah the 4000s is the lower version, but I was referring to a bog stock standard SR Hilux with the TRD Hilux engine package as an option...then you just modify the rest of the vehicle around it.

Nice ride man, shame it's a auto. :?

I have a V6 hilux 5 speed auto 2 door as my everyday work vehicle, I'm sure the extra power with the supercharger would be nice but I have enough trouble keeping the wheels from spinning with anything more than 1/2 throttle as there is basically no weight over the rear wheels (alum tray). What I can say is I'm very impressed with the fuel economy 10ltrs/100kms driving it pretty hard.

I dont see any advantages in going a diesel anymore other then engine life. But then again, if you flick your cars at 60k's it doesnt matter.

Ok, have finally organised the suspension side of things (well so I hope).

I sent the stock bilsteins to Sydney shock absorbers to get the seat collar moved, then got heavier king springs to suit, over all the front has come up about 2.5".

Rear, im running 1" lift just to level the car off, Snake racing blocks with extended U-Bolts to suit (thanks Max)

Tyres are Cooper STT's 265x70r17 and there is no rubbing at all, havent even had to pin back the mud flaps.

Inside ive installed a Eclipse sat nav/dvd/reverse screen. Have also managed to integrate it with the stock steering wheel controls, thanks to a little mucking around.
Image

Im hoping that I wont have to do any more modding in order to fit my new tyres/rims.

285x60r18 on a set of 18" rims with +20 offset.
On my last hilux I ran a +30 offset, so im not sure how I will go.
BTW: Tyres im getting are Coopers ZEON LTZ, a very aggressive looking
road tyre 70/30.

_---------------------
To Come next is my full stainless magnaflow/pacemaker exhaust system and also gotta get around to installing 2 12" subs behind the rear seat, and a 3-way speaker set up in the front doors, all powered by 2x PDX amps. 1 1.1000PDX for the subs and 4.150PDX for the door speaker set up.

After last weeks Dyno run revealing that its running way too rick (14:1) it will also be getting a full APC tune up which should add an additional 100hp plus a new URD TRD pulley upgrade which will add about 2psi boost. which should hopefully bring an extra 40hp

Total of about 450hP at the motor :)

mate, shes looking good.....and that additional power boost will really have you pitching a tent in your pants.

if toyota offered that engine in the base model SR...and I mean base, not base model TRD, I would have gone that option.

No worries.

Power compared to my stock 06 and 07 V6 SR5's is increased dramatically through out the whole range and especially noticeable in take off.

Sure makes traffic light encounters against V8 fords and commondoors interesting. haha

Had it on the dyno and it averaged 516nM of torque.

Hey Mate - nice rig I was wanting one of these but good old toyota kept giving me the run around so just ended up with a SR5 diesel auto. Now I have heard that they are not doing any more????

Anyway - keep the pictures coming.
