My ARB order arrived so trotted down to pick up a few small packeges. Full bar work, UVP and rec point.

Started fitting the recovery point and UVP panels but realised there were no nuts in the kit. Quick trip back to ARB sorted it all out. Bit fiddly getting all the holes to line up but got there eventually:

Then I started on my removable canopy. Shipped up from Melbourne it was a blank canvas. I welded in some extra frame work on top of the alloy floor to help brace it up and give me somewhere to bolt my 15mm ply floor to it. Covered in marine to tart it all up. Then bolted in a fridge frop slide.

A quick over night camping trip to Lake Lyell gave it a quick shake down test. So far so good.

The recovery point is just me playing around with a can of plastidip.

As for the side steps, they sit in a bit more than standard side steps so not as wide. Definitely higher too. My kids still use them to get in and out no problem.

I didnt measure it but I guesstimate around 25mm. Why so curious? The side bars add at least 100mm width per side.

See, I love the small touches like the blue recovery point that you've done, makes your ride your own. Good work man I love it!
