if your vehicle has VSC, then yes you will have bigger brakes and 17" rims.

some 16" rims can fit, but the selection is small

Your model has the bigger brakes, also be careful with offsets and tyre sizes, say you wanted 33's down the track a +10 wheel is what you want, then you got to get the right lift... its a whole can of worms and alot of guys just take what the tyre guys say for granted, plenty of info on here regarding what you can and cannot legally do. With VSC fitted vehicles its not much at all unfortunately, check out the sticky threads for info.

I have a 2014 with 4" lift and 16x8 witch came of a gq with 285-75 r16, I have had a talk with 2 separate dealers and as long as it is ADR approved and no modification to existing systems I will not have many issues, it depends on how u read the regs, technically u can't add a bull bar as this changers the handling of the car

Well sorry guys again iv been snowed under at work... I have done some serious test fitting of 16 inch wheels and found that most do fit, some require wheel shims and others done, dynamic Sunraysias are pretty good and most offsets don't need shims, I bought a set of 16x7 dynamics in 0 offset and iv had to use 6mm spacers to clear the caliper. Anyway I want to talk about tyres.... I have an OME 2 inch lift and 10mm strut spacers. Will I fit a 285/75/16 without scrubbing? I know that 285 is to wide for a 7 inch rim legally but plenty of guys have done it... Or am I better off sticking with a 265/75/16? Photos of recent mods to come soon :D

Righto guys here is a long overdue update on my build!! Since last posting I have achieved quite a bit. Mods that I have now done are:

- Debadged
- smoked tail lights and side markers
- new set of dynamic steel 16 inch wheels 0offset
- 285/75/16 goodyear wrangler duratrac tyres
- tinted windows
- led reverse light
- 10mm superior engineering strut spacers
- 6mm superior engineering wheel spacers (front only)

So here it is as it stands right now

Well it's been a while! But I'm back. Pigs there are just super cheap auto aerial brackets, I wouldn't recommend the Goodyear wrangler duratracs to be honest sjwortho they are wearing really fast!

Hey mate, they are so the wheels clear the calipers, some 16s will fit without them some won't it's just luck of the draw, offset doesn't seem to mean much either, it's all in the design of the wheel centre

Had any issues with the 10mm strut spacer mate? Was looking at putting one on my 2inch lift to bring it up a bit. Cheers

Hey strongy, yes I did have some issues with excessive droop which cause the cv to bind on the drivers side, become dislocated and ultimately bent my strut, for what it's worth I would spend the money on an adjustable like for the front, monster rides, dobinsons mrr or bilstein are all good quality, if you don't want to spend much go with the profender monotube struts available from superior engineering they are only $180 per strut from memory and a lot safer than the dreaded strut spacer! Hope that helps.... Big mods on the horizon, updates to come in the next month!
